Now you have my mind going!
Will Smith as Superman?
Sophia Vergara as WonderWoman.
Carrot Top as Batman.
Lucy Liu as The Hulk. George Lopez as Captain America!
A good actor should be able to pull off any part well.
Preconceived expectations are sometimes hard to overcome.
My problem with a black James Bond would be that I have a real hard time visualizing a black British actor. Maybe David Harewood from Homeland!?!
Maybe not quite. But how about...
Lucy Liu, or Zoe Saldana as Wonder Woman
John Cho as The Hulk and Michelle Rodriguez as She Hulk
Vin Diesel or David Harewood as Batman
For most of these characters, we associate them with being a particular race, but the most important thing about them is their personality and bearing.
Sofia vergera as anything is ok with me.
Holy crap she's gorgeous.

I've seen a fan theory that "James Bond" is simply the code name for whoever is assigned the role of 007 at the time. That would certainly explain why James Bond can change his age, behavior, etc even when other characters like M and Q stay the same. Casino Royale kind of hinted at this - "Hey, this guy's been promoted to 007" - but didn't specifically say the name went with the job. That could be explicitly written in, and would certainly explain a black James Bond without starting the series completely from scratch.
There's quote a few black actors who could play suave, secret agent, and British. Or, for that matter, a Felix Leiter spinoff could be cool, as turboswede said.
i read somewhere (probably Cracked.com) that James Bond is supposed to be the same person in all of the movies- and they posted up a bunch of examples of things from the movies that point to this... one of those things was a scene when a new Bond went to the grave of his wife that died in the last movie that starred a different Bond..
