When I browse, I see only a handful of vintage stuff. Like 5 classic Minis (mostly Mokes), no Ducatis older than '98, no old BMWs, etc. Am I missing a vintage site or something?

So what's next, for somebody that just wants to sell weird stuff. Certainly there is an alternitive.
Really? People are finally walking away? I have to admit, it's been so long that I've been on Motors just browsing and dreaming that I'm surprised by the dearth of cool stuff.
Good question: where's it all going? I have mixed feelings about all that business moving to Craigslist, but think global buy local or something, right?
From what I've seen it's all hitting specialty auction sites (emodelcars.com for model cars, etc) and craigslist.
they did it to themselves... love it when a company shoots themselves in the foot.. hate it when it affects the rest of us. If they had just left things alone, ebay would not be the steaming Epile it has become
Yeah, eBay has sucked for the last number of years. I too stopped just browing the Motors section to dream, the layout sucks and the fees for sellers are getting high. CL, you are my new hero.
Oh good, I thought it was just me that was VERY disappointed by the latest attempt by E-Bay to re-invent themselves.
I hadn't been to "motors" in months, then last week I "dropped-by" to waste some time....you used to be able to opt out of "new E-Bay", now you are stuck with their lame design.
What is it about the internet, that makes folks think they MUST keep changing/improving something that at some point CAN'T be improved? Did some (out of) focus group tell them this was THE way to pick up sales?
eBay is dying. With the higher listing fees and stacking the decks against sellers by not allowing them to leave feedback I'm surprised anyone is still selling there at all. The lack of buyer feedback has created a huge wave of "dead beat bidders" who win auctions but don't pay and suffer no recourse.
I liked it when the CEO said "Ebay looked like a giant flea market!" So he set out to change that.
Problem was..most everyone liked it as a giant flea market.
I'm also have a VERY hard time finding anything with all the crap seller listing as Preferred status. normal listings don't seem to start for 7-8 pages.
Craigslist for me.
I hope kijiji starts to gain more popularity in the US. In canada it has become much more popular than CL. It's a similar concept with a better format imo
