I just found out someone I know and was an actor in a local play with me was shot 3 times by an off duty court security. He was a former army vet, a former constable and the current youth theater director for the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center. He is in critical condition.
It is one of those times you just don't know what to say...
Wow. Hope he pulls through.
he definatly does not sound the type that needs to be shot... keep us informed
Well he passed away on Sunday.
Thats a shame to hear. Thugs get shot around here all the time, but once every blue moon you hear about a good person getting caught in the middle. It doesn't sound like he was caught in the middle, but the intended target. Any idea what happened?
Another case of mistaken identity or (negatively) overzealous deputy?

So far from I have heard. There was an disagreement in the parking lot. Brandon got in his truck. The court security officer produced his badge despite the fact he doesn't have any power outside the court and fire three times.

Security powers change in every city/county. One thing sounds for sure. Your friend was making the correct decision by leaving. The officer likely made the biggest mistake of his life. Makes all security look bad. Even worse, someone died.
I am truly sorry about your friend. I hope officer ding dong gets arraigned for murder.
