Getting ready to head to one at school, 30+ employers here. Hopefully I can find something decent, most of the Florida sports teams are here which would be cool. I really need to find one, it's been so slow at Honda I'm pretty much working for free anyways. That and I got sent home early yesterday for driving the Challenge car to work, I started it up and gave it a rev and my boss flipped a sh*t and told me to clock out and go home, not a big deal because I had only clocked 1.9 hours yesterday anyways. I got a chance to go get my hair cut, tidy up my resume, write a cover letter, and get my clothes ready for today.
I just wanted to say I really hate turning wrenches (for a large corporation, I'll gladly do it at home on my own pace any day) and glad I tested the waters with that career before diving headfirst into that 2foot pool.

Why did the boss get mad at you for driving the Challenge car?
He's a whiny little (he's actually the opposite of little) biznatch. I also got yelled at for being 20 minutes early to work yesterday as well. I really am at a loss for what to do at this job. I come in early get yelled at, always on the top for customer service excellence surveys for work done and get yelled at for not "upselling" enough, everything I do right is wrong in some manner and anything I do wrong (which is never) is like committing one of the seven deadly sins.
But the economy sucks, no one is hiring, so I just have smile and try to force myself to be happy and try to get by everyday. Kinesics say that if you smile when you aren't happy you'll start to become happy, if you try to walk confident when you aren't you'll naturally become confident in yourself, so I'm trying to take a lesson in that.
I made some good contacts during this fair, the Golf Channel seemed really interested in me along with Nike Golf, and the Orlando Science center.
Some people though...listening to them talk to the recruiters, were filling themselves up with pure dukey. I don't know why you would lie to these peeps, maybe I'm missing somethign, but I am always strait forward no BS when it comes to this. That way if I do end up getting a job and they ask me to do something I told them I can do, I can do it and not be like "DUR"
