I periodically check out the ReStores here in town, but I'm looking for tools. More often than not it's just rusty junk, but I have picked up some quality stuff at bargain prices - sockets, wrenches, screwdrivers and so forth.

A friend picked up an older wooden one of these several years ago & converted it into their kitchen island. Yes, he removed the stirrups. And replaced the padded cushions with a butcher block top.
I have used a kitchen counter island for similar purposes so I guess it would then make sense that this could be used as a kitchen counter island.
My brother has an antique store and had an old ceramic autopsy table in the shop.
A guy who ran a restaurant bought it for his salad bar...
