Every couple of days or so this white turbo series 5 FC pops in my head and it causes me to have a bit of a crisis.
In a normal world, I'd just sell my current driver that gets crappy gas mileage and go find the FC in question that gets crappy gas mileage. But this isn't a "normal world" and I have 2 kids and neither of the two tricycle-motors are old enough to drive (one can't even crawl yet) so that means I need a car with at least 3 seats in order for it to meet the criteria that my wife has set as "minimum practical requirements".
So here's what I need:
1989-1991 Mazda RX-7. Turbo, manual, white, with minimum tasteful modifications. It must be in perfect cosmetically and need minimum to no work (it would also help if this particular car would need no work anywhere in the near future as well).
It needs to seat me, and two children comfortably.
The current owner must be willing to trade for what can only be considered a shell of a GTV6, or a 4-door 6-cylinder Impala.
I know one of you here knows this person, or knows how to find him. When you do, please refer him to this thread
sigh... back to youtube
To seat 3 you're going to need the back seat setup that came as an option in the GXL models.
even then, I probably couldn't fit my kids in there without sawing their legs off
Do kids really need legs though?

Having just looked at a Forward Control Jeep on craigslist, when you said turbo FC I had a different crisis.
As someone who has kids, an FC Turbo, and a minivan, I'm going to put this as plainly as possible: MINIVAN!

Two kids is getting awfully close to Minivan territory. That doesn't mean you can't have a fun car alongside, though.
So I'll make the same trade for Catywampus.
I think that means, I agree with you!
Subaru brat with jumpseats in the back and 13B swap
Kids were the reason I sold my FC Turbo.
I think the real solution would be to import a 20b Cosmo.

I would never suggest anything so unpleasantly severe. The solution is to get the FC turbo, and a minivan. Have cake, eat same.
In reply to Hungary Bill:
Right!
shwew.
For a second I was worried that you were implying I should get a minivan instead of the T2... I almost choked on my own tongue.
Rats, thought you were having issues with your Jeep.
Glad this isn't about soccer.
Two kids fit comfortably in the back of my Rx8, one has to be in forward facing mode to sit behind me, though.

Nobody told that to my parents. We always had compact cars...and not always 4-doors either.
I had an RX7 with the back seats. That picture makes them look 2x bigger than they really are. No WAY ANYBODY can fit back there. It is a joke.

Also, it is said that giant lizards known as dinosaurs once roamed the earth in large numbers, if you can believe that!
It's funny, I keep thinking that an FC is the incredibly practical answer to the question of what to autocross. It helps that I don't need additional seats, but it keeps surfacing in my head...

A better answer is your dang 2002, you slacker.
Get back to work.
