Since I know y'all love a good treasure hunt as much as I do I'll post what I know and update as I have more.
I get an email from one of my rally participants the other day
Any chance you have British car peeps that would be interested in a half dozen or so parts/serious project/maybe so far gone they're scrap vehicles in NJ. Short story is they have been sitting for MANY years outdoors and now(some time after a death in the family) reality has set in, they aren't going to be restored, and it's time for them to go. I do have a few pics I can forward along if you know of any possible interest.
Ok, you has my interest. What we know right now (very little) at a minimum we have a TR7, a GT6, 2 MGBGTs and a Midget although it's believed there may be a 2nd GT6 and/or Midget. Beyond that and the attached photos all I know is PO/hoarder has passed and the family just wants to clear the yard. I've just been put in touch with the son of the PO and I may try and coordinate a group purchase to get all of these out of his place at once. Not sure I'll actually claim any for myself as I don't need any more cars but ya never know.
Pics

No beauty queens here but for outdoor cars they look like there might be some life (but doubtfully floors) left in them.
I'll update if it progresses further.

Actually if I were to take one I'd take the midget, I know its the least desirable of the bunch but summer is coming and convertibles are an easy sale :)
Everything depends on price. I'm interested in a midget and gt6 in that order.
Interested in an mgb gt or tr6. Staying tuned.
Have trailer. Will travel. Need more info first.
That dude needed a barn. Sorry to hear of his passing. Hopefully his spirit will find joy in his treasures finding new homes with people who appreciate them instead of getting scrapped. Thanks for passing on the word.

As do I, after back and forth with my friend he has put me in email contact with the son so hopefully more details will be forthcoming. However good and bad that it appears no one in the family has any interest in these cars. Good in that prices will probably be at or near scrap value, bad in that the info I do get on the cars may be nothing more than a list of what's there and prices. I have a friend local willing to go check them out and if I have to make the 2 hour drive to get better photos and detailed descriptions I will if the prices are right.
These wouldn't happen to be in Medford NJ would they?

No, they are up north. There's a few stashes around Medford too though hidden here and there :)
Looks like there might be a white MGB hiding there in the TR7 picture. GT6 looks like it might be engineless.
I'll also watch with curiosity.

All I see in the TR7 photo is a dodge minivan. Engines, no engines, siezed, running, rotating, these are the answers we need which I fear we'll only get if we go look. No engine just means they made room for the LSX right?
Behind the (OMG rusty) green MGBGT, is that a blue MGBGT with an open sunroof? Yikes...

Yes to blue MGBGT, yes to open sunroof, assumed yes to missing floors.

I could be seriously interested in the GT6 if the stars align. Mainly for parts, but I keep day-dreaming about a vintage race car project...
If the GT6 was closer, I would be interested for parts but too far for me.

For those with an interest who are on FB I've started a discussion and planning group there. I will still update here as soon as I have info because I know GRMers will do good things with these cars :) But my FB friends shared my post far and wide so I needed someplace there to gather all the questions and comments

A local Mini club guy shared it on his facebook. I was surprised to see it there.

Yep, that's what I mean when I say it spread out of control there. I can only imagine if this guy's contact info was suddenly released he'd be so inundated that he'd scrap the cars to simplify his life, I'm trying to avoid that. Really hoping he's reasonable about the value and then you guys who really want them can get them quick and simple.
If'n they're north of you, that means that they're not far from me. I may have some interest, most likely in a GT6, even thought it would be a tight squeeze at a hair over six feet.

North Jersey, just outside NYC, don't have an exact location at the moment. Playing the waiting game right now but will definitely update here as soon as I know anything.
