There has been some attempts to estimate the amount of time he would have to be in the "loop" to have done all the things that he did. It seems to be around 10 years!
Those damn things bite like hell. I rescued one in the middle of the road using a fishing net. Just a young one. He repaid me by taking a bit out of my arm.
