It's about a 15 year old rock band wannabe that has a VW Bus. Today's episode he's got the bus motor on the coffee table in the living room when Mom walks in.

All of the links I could find are off limits at work, "Not Work Related", what do they know? Look around for it, could be a nice avatar.

"Zits" is amongst the best of the current comic strips.

Agreed! It's one of the best since Calvin & Hobbs.

Interesting to see what appears to be an oil can with a punch spout stuck in it. I haven't even thought about those in years.

I saw that this morning. I was very pleased, and somewhat surprised, to see a fairly accurate representation of an upright air-cooled VW motor. Extra bonus points for accuracy!

Even though I'm 10+ years past being a teenager, my mom still clips out the Zits strips that apparently constantly remind her of me. Like pretty much every week.

I love my mom.

There's one where the Mom unzips the moody teenager and pulls out a four year old. They play card together, bake cookies and have a hoot all day. At the end she puts him back, waving goodbye with a tear in her eye.

The kid leans over to his Dad: "Dad, maker her stop, she's been staring at me like that all day".

It's been on my refrigerator over a year now......

I remember that one! Any ideas on how I could track that down via the web? I've never searched for back comic strips.

My dad would have howled over that one. He was completely aghast that I had both a disassembled MG engine and a Yamaha 600 dirt bike in the living room of a place I was renting.

My crappy local paper stopped carrying Zits a long time ago. I always wondered if they got the V-dub running.

Zits has been around since 1997.

He spent over a decade (remaining 15 years old) sitting inside that non-running VW Bus in the backyard.

I spent almost as long sitting in a non-running VW Bus in my backyard when I was 15! Love it!!

Besides, now I've got my OWN teenagers! Daily Zits updates have been on our fridge for a decade.

I'm in the same boat and I'm 37. My mom will always clip the good ones for me.

It is a well-done strip. Very intellingent.

this might be my favorite one too. It helps if you have a similar teenager living at home too.

We should all be ashamed of ourselves for putting poor ol' mom through it! lol

I love it when someone nails a cultural paradigm, and then makes fun of it. The appeal is universal.
