Someone reprogrammed a construction road sign in Portland Maine to read "Zombies ahead". Not the first time it has been done either. I guess there are instructions online on how to do it. I wonder how many people saw that sign and either began to slow down or actually turned around. It would be my luck I would ignore the sign and it would turn out to be real.

I believe someone on this forum used that as their avatar, or still does.
I still kinda chuckle when I see it.

i blew SSOOOOO much money playing that game
Not to hijack but did anybody see Ted Nugent's Gun Country? There is actually ammunition just for killing zombies!
In reply to triumph7:
Hornady Z Max. Basically they took their Critical defense ammo, put in a green tip instead of red then stick it in a zombie logoed box.
Saw a guy freak out at the gun counter when he saw that ammo screaming that zombies weren't real and just going on and on. It was kinda spooky.

My wife got a box of that as a gag gift last Christmas. We haven't had to use it yet.

My local blade shop has a sign out front that reads
"Zombies are coming
Get your knives sharpened"

I've had to listen to my boss(ex local handgun comp whiz, reloader) bitch endlessly as to how Hornady can repackage the same ammo five different ways, this being one of them, and still make a killing on it.![](/media/img/icons/smilies/grin-18.png)
Good ammo, silly(but effective) marketing.

Its more amusing to read the tips on the side of the box.....
Best part was, After a few weeks the zed ammo was cheaper then the usual crit defense. Good deal!

Then when the real Zombie apocalypse comes... people will think it's a hoax.
Darn kids stay should stay offa my lawn too.
No way they're getting their ball back.

Guilty as charged.
The "checkpoint reached" idea is pretty funny, and it'll be hard to avoid doing that to the next unlocked one I see. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/evil-18.png)
I don't recall who, but someone here found themselves on the side of the road with a dead car; right near one of those lighted signs. He wondered over only to find the keypad box totally unlocked and unguarded.
Fake a car breakdown, see what magic you can do. ![](/media/img/icons/smilies/crazy-18.png)
