Anyone need a 2wd 4l60e? Two piece which I think is 99 up. I bought this for the bell housing but will sell complete. No torque converter. Unknown mileage and condition as it came from the u pull yard. $100 picked up in Pittsburgh, PA 15241.

We don't. It was a cast off from a pulled engine and I don't know which vehicle it came from. I do have the bar code below:
I'm guessing van, on the strength of having the FU heat shield and a notable lack of dipstick tube. You leave that attached on a pickup, the van tube is like six feet long.
5cad is 2005 4.3 c/k pickup and vans
i don't know if the bellhousing works for LS stuff or not(depth, not bolt pattern because that's the same) and i'm not sure on internal differences to v8 units so I should pass
Okay, I remember what I was thinking now... You can buy LS swap converters, no spacers needed.
Granted, I HAVE a spacer. And an LS3 oil pan. And I found some Ranier 5.3s (aluminum, but crap rods/heads I guess) for ~$600.
The few parts I've bought for a 4.3 V6 trans. had the same part number as one from a SBC V8, so I doubt there is a strength difference. The 4.3, to the best of my knowledge, kept the spacing from the SBC, when chevy changed it on the LS V8's, but that's a well known difference these days.
I have a 01 truck 4.3 that needs it, but sadly I'm too far away.
