Do you have LS heads you don't need? Are you going to the Challenge?

I've looked at the local yards, and there are a couple trucks partially disassembled and easy to get to, but I figured I'd try the easy button and see if anyone had some already off an engine that they'd be willing to get rid of.  I'd prefer the complete head, valves and all as I'm not sure if I'm just going to mock this up and then find some other heads or if I'm going to actually go through with making this first head a running one.

I've reached out to Daylan C from the thread above and haven't heard anything from him.  Considering the Challenge is no spectators this year I'm not holding out hope that he'll be joining.

It might be worthwhile to pick up a set of 706/862 heads for $50 and practicing on those before you try on a set of 243 or 823 heads which are worth $4-500.  

That being said I have a set of 243 heads with some light chamber damage that would be good for chopping up into this kind of crazy project.

Is the damage reparable?  Or possible to be one of the cut-out sections?  Like I said, I'm interested in possibly actually running this.

I'm also half-thinking of this as a Challenge project, so I might be looking for cheap prices.  What would you want for 'em?

Damage on one of the heads is minor and easily repairable.  The other head dropped a valve on one cylinder, so one combustion chamber is completely toast.  I'll email you some pics this weekend.

I have a pair of 806s, 1 good 862, and 1 damaged 862. Could possibly pass them off to anybody coming through Bowling Green, Kentucky. No valve covers to go with the 806s sadly.

Like I said about them last time they are in decent shape other than a broken exhaust bolt in one and I broke into a water jacket trying to drill out an exhaust bolt on the other. You can have them if somebody can pick them up. Things sort of fell apart on my end so I won't be going to the challenge this year.

I think the closest person heading down that I've seen is going to be picking up some stuff at the Tennessee side of the Tail of The Dragon.  I'm still looking though
