That would be great in my International Travelette.
Fortunately, it is far enough away to save me from myself.
Not for me, but I have an idea of who would want this. I'll give you one guess.

"The Stampie's go to Connecticut"
Close to me but have too much stuff already.
In reply to TJL (Forum Supporter) :
Way to far to go for an engine and trans.
In reply to Stampie :
Yeah. But you are the caddy 500 guy!
My son is 35 miles away ....
I thought Curtis was the caddy guy?
It's actually located in my town of someone needs eyes on it. Happy to enable!
Someone find me a shell/roller that this will go right in for cheap and I'd do it lol

Dear God, I wish I had a chassis sitting around to slam that in. Preferably something comically undersized. Alas....
If only I had a Studebaker to put that in...
That would make an awesome project for my students. Too bad we're in Texas.

I'm A caddy guy... maybe not THE caddy guy.
I want it. Anyone coming toward PA from CT? Beer, money, or beer money is in your future.
Totally unrelated question... anyone ever put a Caddy 500 in an 83 Corolla wagon? Asking for a friend.

Oh, my.
My initial not-sure-if-serious, knee-jerk reaction is to build a 7A-GE or a turbo 7A-FE, and I'd be happy to help in whatever capacity I could. My second knee-jerk reaction is to get all excited about the prospect of a five hunnerd inch Cadillac in my J20. Two knees jerked simultaneously leaves me flat on my hinder, a very safe 3000 miles away from temptation.

The corolla is likely getting K-swapped, but the idea of the largest production V8 in a 2100-lb car is pretty tempting.
I'm still talking with the guy. I have no way of getting up there for a while, but he's going to hang on to it as long as possible.
He's moving and has no where to put it at the new place, so he's trying to unload it. He said "it's up to the landlord."
What's the status of the engine/trans? Are they together, are they on a furniture dolly, etc. And I hesitate to ask this but what does it weigh? I don't have a engine hoist or anything to lift it.
I have a 4x8 HF trailer and ramps. I'm imagining a dolly could be built for the combo. The trailer doesn't have a winch, and I don't know if there's a solid enough mounting point for a winch/come-a-long, as the trailer has wood sides. Pic for reference:
There are two sheets of 3/4" plywood on the floor of the trailer, I'm thinking some kind of winch mount could be bolted down through the floor.
Is he selling the rest of the car too, or is he just trying to get rid of the engine and transmission?
