Hoping not to have to go to Facebook Marketplace with these.
I had them on before and nearly had them sold but the guy was scared by the fact the rears were 275, he was positive they wouldn't fit his Boxster. While they were on my Boxster just fine.
FBM interest so far. (Posted in a couple 986 groups automatically)
- "$400 for all 4? Where are you near?" Buyer in in LA...
- Assumed I wrote no curb rash, I just said straight wheels. They do have some small scrapes but more on the face than the lip, updated pictures. No response, plus he's in South Carolina.
- "Will these fit a 1998?" Had a bunch of those when listing before. Its not like they're entirely different cars in 5 years.
Ugh.
Wake up this morning to, "Hello how much are you looking to get for the head lights"
Because I just happened to mention the back story of them slightly.
This is why I have boxes full of parts that I'll end up either giving away or dumping in the trash when I'm done building. Posting on FB Marketplace is okay when I'm in the mood for amusement. Not so good for getting value for parts unless you are patient.
I sold and shipped a pair of rear wheels on the 986 Forum a while ago. Some track guys like the rears on front for a 'square' setup. Might be worth listing there or Rennlist if you haven't already. /GLWS

I have a couple dated threads on 986 forum. I should try Rennlist though. Way back i had them on marketplace and someone wanted them for a square setup. I had them priced higher ($800) because I had seen a set sold on eBay higher. Guy didn't want to pay that much, fair enough. I even asked what were you thinking for price and he just ignored that. I was ready and willing to deal then.
Buying is fun on Marketplace but selling can be such a pain. I just like a straightforward transaction. For the one or two good transactions you get 20 that just waste your time.
