Would look great with 4 of the 3 barrel Weber's from a Porsche 911 :)
GMC. 702ci, early 60s.
Back when gas was cheaper than diesel they wanted to use them for big rigs. Didn't end up making a whole helluva lot, several thousand?
In reply to Mr_Asa :
Ford had their Super Duty engines, GMC had their big V6 (302?). Instead of making a big V8, they made a V12 block and stuck four of the V6 heads on it. Everyone talks about them like they used to be super common, guess not?
This was the engine in the long hotrod from the beginning of Fury Road, the one that did the horribly fake CGI flip in the Buzzards' trap.
If he were to drop his price a decimal point, I know guys into oddball engines that would be interested. Cool engine.
In reply to Mr_Asa :
The 359 Peterbuilt is more exciting to me. I'd Like to see pictures. Those have the old riveted aluminum cab with the narrow radiator and hood. Uber classic.

My mind went the same place. Seen a few Jalopies made from those cabs, and have a line on a bare cab an front clip I want to put on my F450 chassis.
Since this guy is so high on the price for the engine, I'd hate to think how bad his Pete is for only 2000.
These were also popular as stationary engines. They ran on natural gas and hummed away for years as oil and water pump power sources.

It's amazing how an order of magnitude drop in asking price can affect the market :)
In reply to Keith Tanner :
So true. Any of his target market that I happen to know (a lot, actually) ain't gonna pay that ridiculous high asking price.
Never hurts to ask, though. I might find just the right guy!
