I need to strip this Miata down and scrap what is left. I will probably keep the transmission for a spare unless someone wants it for $100.
Everything else is free (there isn't much). 1.6 engine with ~70k miles on it but it has been sitting outside for a couple years. I haven't tried to turn the crank yet but it should be fine.

I wonder if the steering column and wheel could make it to me by GRM express. Willing to pull it for me?
In reply to Stampie :
Yea I can set it aside for you.
It's a good thing you're a long drive away, otherwise a lot of your garbage would become my garbage.
But I may be interested in the AC compressor and brackets...
In reply to EvanB :
What would you like for that nice patina weathered column and wheel?

I will accept no more than $0. I'll even throw in the key.

It's been sitting outside with the lines off so I'm sure it's no good but I'll happily pull it for you.
Does it have to roll for you to dispose of it?
Is the rear subframe already gone?
I could make use of a couple complete subframes.
In reply to EvanB :
Not sure I'm good enough to have a key but I thank you anyway.

The rear subframe is in the garage, it was going to go under the opel but that project is stalled, possibly indefinitely. I plan to pull the front subframe and cut up what is left of the body.
Let me know what you need to get if you decide to be rid of both. As complete in the suspension, steering, and brakes as available. I don't need the diff, but axles wouldn't hurt.
No rush, future project.
In reply to gumby :
You can definitely have the front one complete. I'll think on the rear one but I'm probably willing to let it go.

An unbroken oil dipstick? And no one has claimed it?

Still looking for the AC version of the HVAC controls and the AC relay.

If Gumby is getting a few things then I really actually might have you put a few more things in his pile. The AC would be for mockup in my MGB GT swap project. Though looking at it right now it seems it will naturally fall to the wrongest of spots ever. But I also don't want to ask you to spend time pulling a bunch of fiddly parts.
Let me connect with Gumby and let you know.

Hold down bolt + washer cup thingie for the spare tire?
Willing to part with the driver's side lower control arm? Preferably with the "ears" that the sway bar bolts into intact

I have this:
It's crusty but all the levers move freely. I should have the relay, I'll have to check.

Spare tire hold down is gone. I'm going to keep the front subframe/suspension complete for Gumby since he expressed interest in all of it.

It's all coming off anyway. The less fiddly parts taking up space in my garage the better.
I'm so tempted to claim the engine but I really shouldn't.
I guess if no one claims it who needs it for something in particular or no one else claims it and it'll be headed to the crusher, I'll swing down and grab it from you.
I'd like a stock shifter if possible. Mine came with a short shifter and I'm just not a fan.

It has one of those. Send me a PM with your address and I'll get a shipping quote.

If y'all are interested in a three way trade I'd pay for shipping all around to get the stock to captainawesome and the short shift to me.
In reply to Stampie :
You don't want this one, or at least I don't think you do. It's the Cobalt version that only shortens the length of the upper shaft, with no change in fulcrum point. If that still sounds like something you would want I can figure something out. Still need to get a new bushing kit for the stock one before I pull to swap in the stock.

Ok you've talked me out of it.
