For sale is a brand-new crate LS3 and Tremec TKX 5-speed transmission. I can sell the engine complete (without front drive) or as a long block. The transmission can also be sold separately.
The engine is currently in my 1963 Ford Falcon (sort of a build thread on here). I have put about 60 miles on it so far, so it runs great--I can demonstrate. The engine has a Summit Racing 8710 (stage 3) cam, which dynos around 550-580 crank horsepower. Valve springs have been upgraded to duals, and pushrods are hardened units. The intake is a GM truck intake from a 6.0 with 50lb injectors. The engine is currently run on a Holley Terminator X-Max. Price without front drive or computer: $7000.00.
The trans is a brand new Tremec TKX. It weighs 99 pounds. That is why I bought it. Clutch is a basic LS7 unit. It functions just fine. Bellhousing is brand new Lakewood. Price with bellhousing and clutch: $3000.00.
I will sell the whole combo, with the computer, without the engine's front drive accessories (you get new LS3 balancer) or headers, for $12k.
I have receipts for everything, so you can see how much I am giving away. My hobby interests have just changed. Let me know via email if you have questions.
Okay, so I thought I'd put this up again, one year hence. This combo now has about 300 miles, so you can tell I don't love it. I mainly dislike the manual transmission (many years of driving a ten-speed in traffic contributed to this condition), but with the engine's big cam (for my standards) and the car's rear axle ratio of 3.07:1 (I refuse to change), driving this on the street is not my kind of fun. It was quite effective on the track, until I crashed last March . . .
I mainly am looking to sell the Tremec TKX trans and related components (bellhousing, clutch, hydraulic throwout, etc.) at this point (complete kit: $2500). I am not interested in selling the Holley computer or piecing anything out, however the engine is available if someone wants it with the big cam/springs, as a long block with oil pan, timing cover, sensors, and intake only. Otherwise, I will put the stock LS3 cam back in and enjoy mildness, eventually.
Let me know.

I'm interested in the TKX you have for sale. I send you a message via this forum's contact function, don't know if you received it or not.
Where are you located?
Is the close ratio version?
What else do I need to know?
Contact me via miataride @ gmail dot com.
Thanks
Marc
I did reply to an email recently, but it was via my (since 1996) Yahoo! account, so it might have been spammed. Here are the transmission deets:
It's for a GM/LS.
It's got a 2.87 first gear (close-ratio).
It can/will include bellhousing, clutch, throwout, shifter, etc. If I sell it, I will have no need for the additional parts.
It's got about 300 miles now, so aging is not rapid.
It is located in Georgia (ATL metro/30189).
I am highly unlikely to make the effort to ship the thing. For the extra cost and effort to ship (or if you want a different gear ratio), you should just buy a new one, or come and get this one. I have lots of free time, so I can offer some assistance . . .

Got it, no shipping. I would come get it but too far away (I'm in CT) and not likely to be in that area anytime soon.
Best of luck with the sale.
