I find myself in need of some cast-off tires. I thought maybe I could find some cast-off road race or autocross tires but I'm not sure how realistic that is these days. I'm not sure what classes might use a size I can use (American Sedan? American Iron?).
These are to fit on my '83 Foxbody Mustang that currently has 245/45r17 tires. Something close to that should work fine. The wheels, are 17x8, I believe.
The date codes need to be not-too-old. The reason I'm looking for some is because the event I'm interested in (basically a high speed parade) lggpr.org requires tires that are newer than 5 years old. The tires on the mustang were a deal because they were already 3 years old (but new) when I installed them 5 or so years ago, lol.
I'm in the middle of Missouri. If someone in the area or someone in an area where we could pull off a GRM relay had some tires to help me out, I'd appreciate hearing about it.
Or if you know a good place to score a deal like this (midwest parts buy/sell groups, etc) I'm all ears. Thanks!
