I had one in a 79 mustang coupe... killed it when the pulley broke off the crank and tore out the seal... pulley went faster down the road than the car did!

I think I have some ideas as to why. Takes a sick mind to understand a sick mind.

Any engine will make power with enough boost or nitrous. The key is finding out how much breaks it, and reducing the numbers by 1.

I think thats his plan. At least i hope its his plan....

Is this going to hang off the end of a VW with most of the body missing?

You have been doing too mich bodywork.  The chemical fumes are affecting your brain.

I saw a gasser '57 Chev on I-68 today, front end sitting up like the original Ramchargers.  It was not on a trailer.

Yes.  Met up with Keith, talked a ton.  Acquired a fuel tank in addition to a pile of already agreed-upon parts, which makes me happy like you wouldn't believe.  Might have the car on the road by the local RX-7 club meet on the 22nd, which would be freakin' awesome.  More details in my build thread.

Also talk for... um...the  length of travel time between entering PA on 79, and being just outside Zanesville, with a friend who is kind of having a crisis of faith with a project car that he has been working on for literally most of his adult life.  It was good for both of us.

ANYWAY, I have kind of a soft spot for those little German motors, but only when installed in Ford Capris.

It's not quite the same engine, but I do have a Ford 3.0 v6 with all wiring sitting here looking for a home. Even has a trans.

Then you need the 4.0 V6 from a mustang or Explorer or Ranger

I have ane Aerostar v6 and A4LD that was supposed to be a good runner sitting in storage that you can have if it works and we can figure out shipping. I'll see if I can get pictures or identify it if you are interested.

Too bad you're so far away, I have a runner out of a Capri sale for just $50, includes the four speed trans as well.
