I'm looking for a decent used T5 from an S10, speedo drive doesn't matter as the plan is to use a GPS speedo. Don't need a bellhousing as it will be mated with a Jag bellhousing. I'm hoping to find one close to Vancouver, but shipping should work too.
Just curious, why an s10 t5?
Probably for the forward shifter location I would guess. There is a company selling the S10 tailhousing conversion so you can use a normal T5 Tailhousing
81cpcamaro is correct, shifter position. I'll put a build log together soon for this project, though at the moment there's not much to show other than a gathering of parts.

Damn. I just took a good condition one to the scrap yard last week.
This just feel into the category of "That thing has been around for a decade, but as soon as I get rid of it there's a need for it"
Sorry.

I know of one in the Portland, OR/ Vancouver, WA area if you are willing to travel for it.
Shipping something like that over an international border seems problematic
Trent,
I occasionally get parts shipped to Point Roberts, then bring them across myself. I wonder what shipping would be like to get it close to the 49th.
I run to Portland about once a month. I could get it to Seattle if it's easier to manage.

I'll ping the owner and tell him to get into this thread
iansane,
Thanks for the offer, I'll most likely take you up on that should things work out.
Trent,
Thanks for your help! I'll wait patiently.

I picked up the T5 Trent mentioned for the tailshaft housing to swap a Mustang T5 into a '63 Ranchero, but that project needs to go away and it's likely that whoever wants it will just keep the C4 it has in it.
I know nothing about the condition, as I bought it from someone else who was also probably abandoning a project. I have no idea when it was last in an S-10... It's also currently at a friend's house nearby because it almost went in *his* project, but that, too appears not to be going all the way to T5.
Based on your other recent thread, I'd think the T5 was somehow dodging these relatively boring projects so it could someday live its best life.
This forum is awesome! I've been searching for an S10 T5 locally for a number of weeks with no luck, I post on here and in roughly 3 hours, one has been found.
Thank you to Trent, Jesse Ransom, and iansane.
IF you have the tail housing and the shift rod you can install the S10 tail on to most any other T5 trans.
I did this when I helped build a Lemons race car. We put a Ford 2.3L + a Turbo T-Bird T5 into a Opel GT.
