'88 Jag XJS 305 conversion question

Hi Folks,

I'm working on this car specifically on the TPS...looking for someone who has some experience with these throttle bodies. While checking the idle and WOT voltage, noticed that at WOT the throttle position sensor still had about 3/16" of movement to reach it's open position. I don't know what this engine came out of, looks late '80's...question is are there TP sensors that have a shorter "sweep" to match up with the blade travel on the throttle shaft? At WOT the TPS reads 3.30 volts, and if you push the sensor arm by hand to it's stop you get 4.5 (.54 at idle). Anybody?

Does this 305 have a throttle body system (2 injectors) or a tuned port system (8 injectors) ?
