I currently have a 2005 Ford Focus track build that I have been enjoying in the garage as much as on track. I just finished swapping in a 2.5 Duratec, and learned that I can move the alternator to the front using a Mazda 5 alternator instead of the stock one. The main issue is that the Mazda 5 alternator is 3 pin, and the original alternator is 2 pin, along with the plug. Is it possible to switch out the connectors? Do I just cut the two pin harness and solder in a 3 pin? Any help is appreciated.
