Working on building a rotisserie for my '83 Civic project, but not sure where/how to actually mount it to the chassis. I've seen frame rails, bumper mounts, suspension points -- What's the right way to do this?

Is that sufficient? I don't want to do a bunch of work on the underside only to find out later the doors don't fit anymore.
Depends on what you are going to do.
If doing structural, I don't even like the spinner as it is possible to put a twist and/or sag in the tub.
The BEST way to support the car is so that it thinks it is still sitting on the tires. This puts the stress into your spinner mount arms ( think of holding your arms straight out and holding up 100 lbs)
If you attach to the ends of the tub (bumper) it wants to bend the car into a banana. If you are confident that nothing you are going to do on the spinner will lock the shape into the strained dimensions, then go for it. I consider this safe for paint striping and application. NOT for cutting anything out of the car and welding or caging.
I did a lot of work on the bottom or the Molvo using the spinner with the mounts at each end. Note that the engine is foam and the transmission is gutted. Great for cleaning and repainting the bottom and a godsend for doing the exhaust tubing.
