As part of the Jaguar project I'm working on, I bought 2 parts cars. One of the reasons for that purchase is the fact that one of the cars had a set of wire wheels. The wheels are pretty good for their age, but could use a really good cleaning and polish. If I go to the trouble of taking them apart, I would like to replace some of the spokes. Does anyone here know where you can find spokes for these things? I reached out to Dayton Wheels, but they are asking $3.75 a spoke and $1.40 a nipple. That seems like a lot when you consider that there are 72 spokes per wheel for 5 wheels. If anyone here has a cheaper option, I would very much appreciate it.
