Keep me informed on the matter. I can be there for no other reason than to joy you with my presence or moral support. Whatever you want to call it.

Damn you Sperlo! I thought I had thoroughly trounced you in the drift section, but no, you came back and threw down hard.
I haven't given up, I spent about an hour yesterday doing high-twenty-k laps in the Mustang drift...if I could just get a clean 4th-gear entry on Turn 1, I'd have it... as it is I can only get about 4400 points by the time I straighten out for the entry to 2.

Hard E-Brake early before you come out of the hanger. I have hit over 6000 in turn one. Then prepare for a thorough thrashing.

Yeah, that's what I've been trying, but I haven't found the sweet spot that lets me clear the corner without tapping the apex with the nose or just sliding straight sideways into the outside wall. The latter is significantly more frustrating, hahaha.
I'm also not sure if proximity to the wall helps your points or if it's strictly speed and angle. It is really irritating when you do a dirt-drop on Maple Valley and it jacks your points, though. I've done beautiful drifts in my FD though there that didn't count because I was hanging just a hair too much rear tire off the track for its liking.
Its strictly angle and speed. I'm sure it helped that I was using a heavy ass 05 mustang that slid a little further than I would expect a lightweight option.
May I also point out that I added that car to the club garage. Its the grey 05 with "Drift" printed on the right front fender.
I guess I should point out all my drift cars that are shared are clearly marked on the front right fender.
It's a point of pride for me to do it with my own car, though I appreciate the offer.
FWIW, looking at the very top of the leaderboards for that event, the 50k guys seem to be pretty evenly split between the '05 GT, the '93 Cobra, and the Cobra II.
Though where they're finding effectively DOUBLE the points when it seems like manjiing doesn't work...
the 93 cobra is a really good drift car. my setup from FM3 translated really well to FM4.
In an odd tuning experiment that actually turned out well, have a staggered tire setup, 285's on the front, 275's on the rear.
I'm running 275s front and rear, and if anything I need to dial out an RCH of oversteer. If I punch it in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or above about 4k in 4th, it goes sideways on it's own.
I need to double-check my tuning, because I'm thinking I might have a degree of toe-out in the rear that I can get rid of at my current power level.
In reply to failboat:
Yep, I spent quite a while taking on that one. The way to beat your 93 is to go fast.
Anyone try playing in the online E Class hoppers? Turns out it's sponsored by the Chevy Spark and really annoying. This is the one thing about this series that has always irked me; one car is always faster than normal and then everyone drives it.
In reply to Hoop:
It can be that way in any of the class series. You get in and everyone is in the same damn car. That's why I like drifting. The car has to be tuned to the drivers preference.
Dexter, enjoy being at the top. I'll take care of that when I get a chance. I'll be busy tonight. Maybe Friday or Saturday.

I need to join tgrm this morning, someone approve me! My gt is retro hoonage.
Visiting the rents and will be getting my xbox updated with dlc, also getting a 1 month live subscription so I can load up on a bunch of storefront items while I have internet access today. Probably won't be racing or anything but may also share a few setups and paints with the club.
I hit a figurative walll in this game. I'm at driver level 27 or so and on race 11 of 14 in the semi-pro (?) world tour. It's now nothing but B, A, and S races and I just can't do it. I race a clean line, get to the front, and then the damn computer drivers punt me off!!! I did a B500 race at Road Atlanta (in the T/A Javelin of course) and led the last 2 of 4 laps, with an Audi TT following. The last corner of the last lap he punted me from behind, stuffing me in the sand, as the whole field went by. I didn't touch a single AI car the whole race!
Hrrrmph! I put in Mass Effect 2 instead.
Is it sad that I already have Mass Effect 3 paid for and it's not released until March 6th? I need to get back to Forza. I've beaten Assassin's Creed: Revelations and MW3.
Just gotta keep honing those skills. OR play with the rewind function enabled. It is a game after all and if you're not enjoying it for some reason that's easily remedied it would be somewhat foolish not to use it.

I had something odd happen yesterday...
Doing the GT1/GT2 split class race at Leguna Seca, and it was totally washed out. I couldn't see the track it was so bright. I wasn't sure if this was an intentional "yes, it's freakin' bright out there" or something screwing up with my xbox or tv.
Got within 100 pts of you on the sliding pony before I got too pissed off. I'm going to give that a break at least for now, but I got ya' taken care of on the other drifts.
I just tried it at a friends place. I love the Clarkson parts. But coming from GT4, the control setup is very different. I want to see what I can do around that British airfield.
was given an old 20gig HDD and ripped it apart so I could fit it in the slim... the stock 4gig isn't enough to install all the disc 2 stuff...
anyway I installed the disc 1 on the HDD and WOW that thing loads so much faster now... if you have the disc space (10.x gig of HDD space) I highly recommend it :)
