This might have been asked before, but how does one go about getting a GRM sticker in F4?

RF: I could barely hear you and I had headphones on. I had to turn the mic on the Kinects off so I couldn't talk to anyone at all (severe kid noise).

FE: go to the storefront and search for GRM or grassroots. Several should pop up. I have this one on the bumper of my Lotus.

So I raced tonight....

I went to 3% of the leader boards in F class.... is that for better change?(trust me I know I have work to do) or am I backwards?

I've got the bumper sticker and the number board on my storefront. Just search for racerfink, or you can probably get there from the club section as well.

Fink has some great stickers and so do many of us. Browse through many of our decals. Some of us just have different.... Subject matter.

Lower percentage is good if thats the question. Yes, you're doing well. Like class F? There are a ton of awesome cars in the club garage.

Did anyone else get cars for that King of the Track challenge with the Miata 'round Road Atlanta?

I got two: a 360 Challenge Stradale and a Huayra.

And how in the HECK are you guys finding an extra couple seconds around Laguna Seca in that pigfat Challenger? Anytime I get any extra speed, that thing just loses all front grip. Not a fun car to drive at all IMO.

The M3 GTR was the unicorn car you got for the King of the Track. Those two are from the VIP car battles I think.

The Dodge just requires backing up your braking points.

The two cars I got both have "CJ Wilson" on them, so they're definitely both for the Miata challenge.

I noticed that in season play there no longer appears to be any endurance race events like in previous versions of Forza. Im almost at level 50 and a few races into the last season, I want to do some races that actually require pit stops for tires and fuel...

Is there a way I can set up a race with AI and choose how many laps I want to race? I could have sworn there was a way to do it in free play but I couldnt make it happen last night.

I dont currently have access to xbox live, so setting up an online lobby isnt an option right now.

Im really thinking about breaking out my FM2 and FM3 discs to finish all the races I never completed before (because I was way too busy playing on Live lol)

In reply to failboat:

Set up an online race with all ai. You can set it up however you want. Hell, make a multiclass endurance drift race.

I just got my own XBOX 360S last night!

Maybe within another month I can actually play it. Another month after that I should be on LIVE...

Except he doesn't have Live.

I think he's out of luck in that regard...

Okay, I think I finally figured out what's driving me crazy about the AI..from what I can tell, they maximize straights, while I try to maximize corners. They "dive bomb" the braking zone, and then hit the brakes again before the apex (they also seem to pick the geometric apex, instead of the real one for a corner). I brake once, they brake twice. Once I get in front, no problem..but I'll admit it took me two weeks of yelling "STOP BRAKE CHECKING ME, YOU (expletives deleted, but they describe either a product of human inbreeding..or vulgar slang for the human vagina, provided I'd had enough to drink )!!!!

Odd thing is..all the years I spent watching racing as an SCCA Corner Worker lead me to think that slamming on the binders in the middle of a corner is the best way to insure the car leaves the road butt-first, and in a big hurry. And my (I'll admit, less than 3 seasons) time actually driving in SCCA Improved Touring confirmed my suspicions.

I guess the AI has the Seldom Helpful Interference Technology turned on all the time? No wonder they're so stinking slow in the corners.

Apologies for the intrusion, I just miss racing with y'all online. I'm comfortable enough with the game to start working on my "Virtual Improved Touring" project. In the past, I tried to just modify Forza cars with what was allowed in the GCR. Massive fail. Ten to fifteen seconds faster a lap than the real cars. Can any of you give me links to IT lap records at the US tracks that are in the game? My preliminary research (old list of Rd.Atl. records) leads me to think an ITS car will be right around an E-Class..with ITA a full D 350, and ITB and C down to a Forza E and F.

Racerfink, IIRC your Spec Miata folks did that great job of matching real SM to Forza 3..have y'all done it for FM4 yet? Stuff like that would help.

In reply to friedgreencorrado: We just used the same parts as the FM3 build. They were still over 3 secs. a lap faster than the actual cars at Sebring in FM3 though. The real cars are getting closer now...

Thanks, RF! I'll probably just copy your FM3/4 stuff. Well balanced. As far as everything else, I'm shooting for about 3sec off the real lap records, I figure that's about where I'd be if I was still driving for real. Y'all who are covered in talent should be able to do the deed.
