OK, 'nother dumb question.
How do I change the rear axle ratio in my C425 Javelin? When I go into Tune Setup or whatever it's called and go where the transmission and rear gear ratios are I can't change any of them. Do I need to upgrade them?
I kicked arse with the Javelin through all the C-level races but can't get first in the last Trans Am oval race because I only top out at 129.
In reply to fastEddie:
You need to upgrade the transmission. Then you can adjust the rear end ratio. With the full race 6 speed, you have full control over all gear ratios as well.
Changing the gearbox in the Javelin though, will probably bump you up to B class pretty quick.
New XBOX is in (360S 4GB), wireless is hooked up an working...
All that's left is to get the LIVE connected to my gamertag and it's ON!!!
I got Forza 4 for xmas and am just now getting to the R3 cars. This game is alot of fun, but it's pretty darn challenging. I can't play it while drinking beer cause it's too hard. That's the only thing I've found wrong with it. That and if my buddies come over they wanna race the fastest cars and then they get mad cause they didn't take my suggestion to run some C class cars first.
Hah!
I ran Saturday night in C class with a bunch that were drunk/getting hammered. They still ran clean and were pretty cool....and I got lots of laps in running a truck and a few BMW's....the truck was actually faster on a few tracks (chrome yellow Saleen crewcab )

That 155 with a rwd conversion drifts like a dream. And it sounds amazing.

Yeah, I just completed season play this weekend, Not using any car higher than R3 class, mostly sticking to the lower classes 90% of the time unless I was forced to race something faster. They are a handful with all assists turned off, and its hard to deal with the AI brakechecking in such fast and touchy cars.
I was running R1 and was impressed by the stopping power. I usually run lower classes.
In a single class race in any of the R classes, I just bump the AI difficulty down to hard so I can post some clean laps to the leaderboard and not have to worry about getting dive bombed and getting damaged. For some reason, the AI in the multi-class races are slower in the R cars, and I can pull away cleanly, even on the professional difficulty.
In reply to failboat:
That one is just a C class AWD car right now, but it ran away from the AI at Hockenheim National pretty easy with an initial tune on it. Lot of heat in the front tires, almost none in the rears, so it could definitely get better.
I'm finally on! gamertag TurboJavelin
Anybody else find it ironic that the guy who started the thread and had the LCE on release morning just now got around to getting on Live, etc on page 26 some 4 months later?
Man I'm a slacker!!!
Much to my dismay, real life comes first...
Just sent a FR as well.
Just won this one off the auction house for less than retail (not much), and then had an interesting race with DTM cars at Le Mans. The replay is on my storefront as "Forza 16".
(racerfink on a drift Rival, but still!)
So, uh, are we racing tomorrow?
Any suggestions for a good s-class car? I created an absolutely undriveable CTS-V last night, which I promptly sold for pennies on the dollar.
