Looking forward to seeing you!!!  Get the discord set up while you figure out the wheel. Also you don't have to race. You can join in and spectate/commentate/heckle/encourage us along. It will give you a feel for the game. 

Of note:  I was looking through the TransAm cars, and the appear to be performance balanced.  They all have the exact same HP and Torque (probably not entirely realistic), and only vary slighly by weight.  The newer cars are very slightly heavier (but may have slightly better suspensions?)

They should be reasonably easy to drive, but will likely require a bit of trailbrake steering to get around the corners as fast as possible.  Power oversteer should also be on tap, but can be tricky to use for cornering.

Ok New Server is up with all the car.  I used the big version of the track there are three variants we can use.  Time for some 70's trans am racing!!!!

This is a fun track.  I put one of evert car from the 70's TA pack in to the room so people can try them all.  I also set it up with 10000 min practice session so just under a one week run time.  

Best lap so far is in the 2nd jen Camaro at a 1:54.

I got everything downloaded last night and give it a spin (literally). I haven't had to use the clutch for any other cars so that was a learning experience for sure haha

Testing tonight and we got this

I had to reset the server so the lap times I put up here have been erased but the server will hold people's lap times in a list so you can test various cars and it will hold and display your best lap time in a particular car. I will most likely test more Friday night. The cars are fun. The track is challenging. 

@Prodarwin. I did just a little tuning to the 70 TA to get that time.  I softened up the suspension by two clicks and then an additional one click down on the front bar. There is more in it. I think I may try the same changes to the Boss Mustang. 

Air. With this format we could also run a time trial through the week leading up to a event. People should take a screen shot when they are done running in case the server resets or locks up. 

Speaking of servers. I am going to be building another computer dedicated to server duty. I want a machien that has better cooling than the current rig. 

The decreasing radious right handed before the long back strait is extremely challenging. 
 

On another note I changed my wheel setting to those posted by Air for the G27 and it definitly helps thing compared to the stock settings. 

That decreasing radius is one hell of a pain.  Its line is... gently brake and hang on for dear life as your car try tries to kill you.

Interesting that you just set the fastest time with the heaviest car.

I need to play with the suspension a little bit.  Overall I like about 1/2 of the cars out of the box, I just need them to be more stable under braking.

My line has been start braking at about the 3 3/4 - 3 1/2 marker and kind of float it as the radius continues to tighten up.  Once the car gets a set I start feathering the throttle to the apex and out of the corner.

I upped the temperature to 86 degrees on the server so you should not be seeing snow.  I did notice that this helped the tire temps and things seemed to stay more in the green last night.

I got the 65 Mustang firmly in the 1:54's  This may be the ringer car of the bunch.

With the server running in real time at some point we will have night time.  I assume that it will be dark about noon EST real time as I started the server at 11:30 PM my time but it was noon on the server.

Do we know if Riverside has lights?   I suspect it does not.

I checked in when it was dark here (same time zone as Riverside) and it was still light at the track.

Playing with some pics.  Seems like the screenshots lack a bit of contrast and tend to be to bright.  Here is an adjusted one.  

The free cam can be enabled during play, so you don't actually have to go to the replay to get shots (not terribly useful in multi-player of course).

We can do that (and I have and idea of some perfect tracks for it...  first one start with Deep, the second starts with Trial...).

The one big BUT is... these cars will not be performance balanced at all, so we will need to do some testing / HC.  Since we are doing custom downloading cars, we CAN actually tune the models as needed.  HC in the server seems pretty easy also.

Oh, I also wanted to see if we wanted to move this to Wednesday.  We don't seem to be doing PC anymore, and as noted 2 drink Tuesday is on...  and they might be the crowd we are interested in.
