I'll probably be on tonight messing around if anyone wants to join.
Server is down today and peobibly part of tomorrow. I will get it back up tomorrow. Came home from vacation today.
The server went back up. I swapped over to GPF to see if the car's interesting handling was as fun on this track. It is!!!
I also fixed an IP / Network Adaptor issue that should make my game more stable.
The forum tells me its Dean's birthday. I may be late or miss tomorrow night, but I hope some birthday shenanigans take place.

I felt a great disturbance in the force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced by a tangerine torpedo.

Ya that about sums it up. :-)
I had a lot of fun practicing with the Cooper on N-Ring GP. Turn one is going to be a disaster after the first lap. So much throttle lift oversteer...
In reply to Hey guys! It’s me! :
Yep!!! Tonight is going to be fun and I am actually looking forward to trying out sharing server duties with Pro and see how that works out.
We can bounce back to last week's track as well as I really like the Mini on it. I just need to get better at turn 4 and the last turn back on to the front straight.
BIG T storms blowing through hopefully we don't lose power and hopefully, they blow through before race time.
Got the the game a few days ago. So far me likey.
I'll muck about with it a bit, then maybe join you guys if I could?
Had a good time tonight. Thanks dean and everyone involved. Gameboy and I seem to be pretty evenly matched. I look forward to having you be my "rival" on track! The rest of you guys I couldn't touch. Dean is a fast one.
In reply to Countingcrowbars :
Great to have you!!! I was a bit inconsistent last night but I really like those minis.
In reply to Sidewayze :
You are always welcome to join in. The more the better!! The server is usually on 24/7 so you can practice there anytime as well.
And as always car and track suggestions are always welcome. Air is the track and car organizer as he admins the Google share file where we keep car and track files that are not in the base game for people to download.
Prodarwin also has the ability to host servers so moving forward we should have the ability to skip back and forth between two servers on race nights. I am thinking that will be really cool.

What are we feeling for next week? Laguna seca? Miata reunion? Yugo touge? Shutoku expressway high speed drags? Porsche (or Ford) versus Ferrari?

What are we feeling for next week?...
If you want to pick it, we WILL do it...
... I hear one of the new guys claims to be some sort of Miata expert.... (the Spec MX5 is a very good car in the game) What real tracks are near you, you have you driven, or are your favorites? A wide variety of US tracks, even small ones, are available. (Sauce will gladly embarrass you at any of them )
I might be out of town next week, so if I need to prime the Current folder with cars, let me know. I have an NA Miata that we can try. I do have a car we need to try, but since I am likely out next week, I will hold onto it.

Oh dear... my wife's chosen screen name for me has got me in over my head again... lol.
Miatas at Laguna Seca actually sounds pretty fun. Have you guys done Porsche (or Ford) versus Ferrari?
We have not done any classic LeMans style racing yet. We have done some classic touring cars and classic TransAm (both of which where good and we could easily re-visit), but no Ferraris there. There is a very nice GT Classics car collection that we need to get to at some point. They will probably be a bit more challenging to drive, but should be very cool. Here is a sneak peak:
We might just want to set up at least a short series for these at some point. There is a list of a good 40 historic tracks that would work for these.
I also wanted to setup a series with the classic TransAm cars with as many of the original tracks that we can find (yes, Bridgehamton is one of them). I think the Seattle track is one I could not find though.
A few other things we will do eventually:
- Personal car showdown: Not sure of the format yet, but might be a delayed start race so theoretically the cars will cross the finish line at the same time
- Gran Tourismo tribute races: There are a few of the classic GT tracks available, and we would focus on the classic GT cars, which are generally 90's (usually Japanese) performance cars
- Pre War cars: We drove one as a test. Actually pretty good.... unless you like the concept of stopping...
You mean this car?
I put it in the Current folder: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1vME9C0pSEoHrops3ol6xEer_0FAp-C54
What? You say you can kick everyones butt in that car? Hmmmm, that seems like a bold statement.....
BTW - there are a LOT of cars available in AC. One of the easiest way to search for cars is to just put "assetto corsa" before the name of the car in Google, and they will show up. Many are on Race Department, but the search there is useless.
You'll need to log in to post.
