Hmm, I do need a spinny tool to radius parts after they come off the CNC...
Since we had a low turnout, I have one more discount to give out, if any one else wants one just send me a message with you real name and email address. First reply gets it. I want to send these out by tomorrow.
I don't have a need at the moment air but thanks!!!
Last night was good win. A nice change to just mess around with all the various cars. I am still on the hunt for a M5 car.
I also like the idea of reviving the Euro-Trash series. That was great fun.
Tried to make time for last night but there were...surprises. Hopefully next week but things probably won't calm down until the week after.
Dean, some of the BMW cars are packs of multiple versions, those many times have race versions or hp street versions.
The Caterham seem to have potential so I will work on getting a better tire model on them, adjusting the hood view, and adding some GRM liveries (torpedooooooo).
Coupons are sent. Let me know if you don't get it.
Sounds like there will be a bit more of a crowd next week, should be fun. Summer can always be a bit on and off with vacations and such.
If nothing else, I can whip out my surprise car (the Caterham was the other one), or I might have the modified Caterham ready for some more testing. The Caterham is a great trainer for throttle control (and oversteer!) and could be very entertaining with some time in it.
I missed this Wednesday, but I should be able to make it next week. Will there be more mods on the google doc that need to be downloaded every week?

Usually we add 1 or 2 every week or so. We try and keep the top level folder populated with the 'current' mods, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. On the fly installation of mods for everyone goes pretty quickly and rarely slows us down more than a min or two.
If someone has the time and inclination (ehm... Sauce), they can try to tune the Ferarri 333SP that is in the Current folder. It was a very nice car in PC2, but this one seems to have a strange base tune. Sauce did say that doing some quick adjustments to made it much better (the track we tested on was likely not ideal either).
Can I suggest some tracks? I live west coast, so I've never been or seen some of the east coast tracks. Ginger man is definitely one, mid Ohio, NJMP, etc.

Absolutely!!!!!
We have Mid Ohio and raced it, it is a well done track, certainly willing to do it again (it's one of my favorites). I already have a copy of NJMP (not super high quality but it should be good). A quick search does not show Gingerman, but I can keep looking.
There is a very good version of Limerock, Road Atlanta and VIR. I also have a copy of Palmer Motorsports Park, but Dean has been unable to make it work on the server (maybe have Darwin try the CM server?)
I have fixed the tires, sound and hood view position on the Caterham. I think the issue with it is that it is an older mod (especially the sound issues). I still want to mess around with it a bit. I will put up a never version when I am done (we will all need to delete the old one and re-upload).
I have another version of the Caterham, but it's not quite as interesting, a bit sanitized.
The Caterham Academy has been updated and I uploaded it to the Current folder. No sense updating until the server has been updated though.
In reply to aircooled :
I'm pretty sure the only thing I really played with was gearing and tire pressures. One of the main problems with the car is how abruptly the boost hits, so optimizing gearing so you either are always in the boost range or just aren't hitting the power spike from off boost to full boost at inopportune times transforms the car. If we have a set track for the car I can work on a tune, but I don't have much tuning time in AC so I make no guarantees.

Haven't tried and don't see the server up. If I don't do the TDT race tomorrow I may play with it then, if I do then we'll all learn together on Wednesday.
One thing we can try is getting Palmer Motorsports Park working (a twisty east coast track built on the side of the hill). Maybe Darwin can try running it on his CM version of the server. Dean could not get it to work on his.
I put it in the current folder in case we want to try.
Server was down but fixed now.
I played with the 333sp and found there is an issue with the base tune and the traction control. In the base setup it is set to one but this is really zero. If you change it to 2 and drive a lap or two and then go back to a setting of 1 the car is MUCH better. You can then go back to zero setting if you want if off again. Ultimately I got my fastest lap with it off but it is just bonkers to drive. You have to be so carful with throttle control as this is a high reving motor with all the power up in the power band and when it comes in it is immediate and will spin you. Set at one and I can click off laps with relative ease. This car really needs a bigger track but it is fun in a bonkers kind of way.
I did a bunch of tuning with the traction control off and then discovered the error in the setting. I really need to go back to a baseline with the TC corrected. My setting at the moment is to bring tire pressures way down up the rear wing to the max and set the bias to 60.
More testing and tuning is needed but we have it at least partially tamed.
I made a folder in the current cars folder Called GTE CARS. In it I put 10 cars all listed as GTE cars. I suspect the PUMA is a drift car and I am not sure what to think of a Yaris GTE car. I would like to test these this week.
I also was searching for GT3 cars and I could do the same for these.
Any other series of cars that anyone would like to try and see if we can put together a car pack for?
Oh, Air I found an "interesting" VW that I am supersized you have not sprung on us yet ;-). It is near the bottom of the list.
