That's what i paid for 1-4 on Xbox one last week not on sale. It shouldn't ever go higher than that for console.

I was planning on running some practice sessions so I'll hook up the streaming setup and see if I can get it to behave. I've got pedal output as well coming off the USB output since the game doesn't seem to support it.

Not sure if it's something on my end but i didn't get any sound. Was interesting to see how much harder you are on the throttle than i am though. I probably never get above 70% on a twisty stage like that
Fixed the Sound issues. I use OBS to stream and it does effect performance so I have to turn graphics downin the game
Damn.
Is there such thing as a streaming/recording option now that does not impact performance significantly? (Aside from a pass-through HDMI*) I'm too much of a frame rate junky to give up anything :(
Ran this week's event last night- came VERY close to DNFing off a bridge on SS1, and it felt like the tires were in the air about as much as they were on the road. Really fun, and the Rally GT Aston Martin gives me a serious want for a V8 rally car.

Depends on what you got and what you are doing. Streaming in VR is pretty rough on a computer. In general it needs to render the scene 3 times. Once for each eye and then once again for the spectator version you guys see that helps make you not vomit while watching. Ohh and if your headset drops below 90fps instead of 60fps you notice it immediately. My setup is strong but not top end with a 4 year old i5 processor and motherboard alongside a recently upgraded GTX 2060 Super. If I weren't in VR I would likely not even notice streaming and could happily maintain 60-120fps on a single monitor while streaming at ultra visual settings.
I made a club for the guys who want to play with DLC: GRM DLC Showdown!
First rally is Group A in Finland, starts tomorrow.
Yeah, VR is a major video card drain. I'll mess with OBS and see if I have any luck.
I play on a 144hz screen, but I'm not sure if I am even getting that or not. I'm rocking a 1070 and a Ryzen 3600x.

Lol. Barrel rolled off a cliff in the first minute this week. Surprisingly not terminal. But it cost me like 30 seconds. Then I went off again and it cost me another 10. The first split second of the off is below. After this it rolled several times and the car looked like a potato chip. Surprisingly it was repairable. Suspension, wheel geometry, radiator, and bodywork.
After that I got my E36 M3 together and managed to win some of the segments against MuteLunatic and Nonack as well as come out 4 seconds ahead in the second stage. No way I'll close the remaining gap with pace alone, but if I can keep the car on the track I'm in striking distance if they mess up :)
I requested go join the dlc league, time to do some sweet jumps. Also I ran a test stage in the GT cars. Out of 5 attempts I managed to finish the stage with all 4 wheels still attached three times. I'm feeling pretty good about this one.
Just finished my runs. Had some trouble with the rear stepping out suddenly on higher speed turns. I wonder if I was bottoming out and needed to stiffen the suspension or something.
I also tried recording with Radeon ReLive. I had an issue with Stage 1, so the first recording I have is stage 2. The rest are uploading.

Argh, so tired of dumb mistakes! If I could subtract my recovery times I'd be out ahead! Although I'm sure the front runners could benefit from the same thing :P
I love the RGT Aston though. Im so surprised its so easy to control while I can't keep the E30 pointed straight to save my life. Escort isn't quite as bad, but still significantly harder to control.
Man, I am really not good at this game. I'm so far behind everyone else and have no idea how to go faster.

The same way you get to Carnegie Hall, practice.

Fair point. I didn't realize just how different a game like this would be from Forza and the like.
Oh yeah, its wildly different than racing on typical circuits. I can knock off lots of *fast* laps at 10/10ths in Project cars while I take a sip of my beer on the straights and have a conversation with a buddy.
Dirt Rally is 100% max concentration because you don't know whats coming next. My hear rate is through the roof the entire time. Its crazy. It does get a little better over time as you become used to what "3 left" means in a particular car/track combo.
I will say Catamarca is so damn bumpy in some of the fast sections its nearly impossible to see the upcoming corner at speed.

That's part of the reason I recorded and uploaded my run. I'm not an amazing driver, but it'd be fun to compare runs and see what people are doing differently.

I'm working on my setup its been fighting me although I usually prefer to stream online rather than record and distribute. It make the workflow really quick if you aren't looking for whiz bang editing. If you can with the Radeon recorder try to run the steam VR View and record that. The view directly from the headset is hard to watch unless you are used to VR. In the Steam VR View you can change what eye or a combination of eyes that it is viewing and it will show a normal rectangular output.
OBS Studio will let you pick and choose video and audio sources. It takes some tweaking but you can really get down to the bit rate, resolution, and fps that you are recording at to optimize the quality vs your in game fps but not everyone wants to go down that rabbit hole.
You'll need to log in to post.
