Nope, I am getting it on PC so I could have got it straight from Steam. Way to be behind the times Bethesda.

Mine is already loaded since I disconnect from live while saving to the Xbox......otherwise it downloads from the server.
all i can say is the graphics on the commercials look ridiculous and i am jealous. maybe the wife unit will let me build my PC for christmas.
You guys suck. I need to find a crackhead with a ps4 that needs a fix.
I just can't justify 350 for a video game. ....
I'm shocked, my relatively old system is able to run it on "high" graphics. I wonder if adding an I-7 would help, or if my graphics card is the bottleneck...
Welp, back to smashing radroaches!
Well, now I own it, but I'll have to wait until tonight to install and play. Damn this work and family responsibilities!
Odd note, I really hope I can find a stealth suit in this game.......Natasha Romanova needs one. SLOOTS ERRYWHERE!!!!
I'm ... sorta wishing I had saved my money.
I didn't discover until 9:30 last night that Bethesda had berkeleyed up and the install I'd done after preordering was non-functional.
10:30 rolls around and it's only 50% installed, so I go to bed.
Get up, play for four hours... not really digging it.
Super glad I took a day off work for this.

That's why I went hard copy route for this, and made sure to install without my xbox connected to the Internet. I got home at 0030hrs and was playing by 0050hrs
so tell me about this pc version....
whats required to run it well?
can you hook up an xbox controller to a laptop?
sounds like the only realistic way im gonna play this. cause id be taking grocery/bill money to buy an x-box otherwise.
I am currently debating replacing my whole rig and passing it down to my son or just upgrading the video card to start playing this now.

Supposedly the minimum specs are: Core i5 2300, GTX 550 Ti, and 8GB RAM
This place ran it with an older CPU, but a better graphics card, and still got significantly better frame rates than the consoles. http://www.geek.com/games/a-budget-gaming-pc-plays-fallout-4-better-than-consoles-1638999/
tl;dr - buy a nice graphics card, you'll be fine.
So... do I want this game? I loved the look and feel of Bioshock, but couldn't get into the mechanics of it, and dropped it after 5 hours or so.
Not sure if this will be similar, or not.
It's nerdy. Real nerdy. It evolved from a tabletop RPG, and the previous iterations had pretty heavy nods to that (it wasn't uncommon to spend 30 minutes optimizing your inventory before going into a fight; success\failure during certain interactions was based on a combination of your stats & sheer luck).
That being said, Fallout4 seems to be much more run & gun friendly, if that's your thing. They've also eliminated the "spend 45 minutes looting a room" mechanic, even though I found it oddly satisfying in the old games.
I spent about 1 1/2 hours last night playing. Made it to the Red Rocket on the way to Concord. I upgrade my 10mm pistol but didn't get to shoot anything because my wife woke up and said I was keeping her up. So far, so fun!
So do people actually use the 'share' features on the PS4 (I'd assume the XBoner has the same thing)? If so, we should post some up here. I need to figure it out. I'm sure we will be seeing some great VATS head shot Bethesda silliness.
You'll need to log in to post.
