What a mess. I'm having to re-download the game right now, because apparently, it didn't download enough of the game before.

When I would click on the FM6 logo on the dashboard homepage, it would act like it was loading for about two seconds, then go back to the dashboard. Seems like almost everybody is having this problem. The game magically goes from 45Gb to 129mb after the first attempt to play. And of course, EVERYBODY is downloading off their servers right now...

At just a little past 10%, it's letting me launch the game. Watching the opening movie now, which is the same as the demo.

That berkeleying figures.....hence why I asked about it. I knew my internet didn't magically download 40+ GB instantly......

I actually didn't have this problem. Loaded up and started right into basically a repeat of the demo.

Also, both the 360 and the One will do sneaky things like stay powered on after you've shut it off in order to keep downloading. So, it doesn't magically do an instant download.

It seems people who purchased before 8-31 are the ones affected.

Ahh, I purchased it 9-1......and I don't have that problem evidently. I can't play a bunch until tomorrow, and even then, have to turn vibration off to protect my shoulder. LoL

I have to say, the ability to download top leaderboard setups is an interesting feature. I haven't tried it yet. But, it could be educational to try different builds.

I had the same issues on startup on Thursday, but find it odd that my system was downloading Forza 6 for several hours while I watched and then finished downloading overnight for it to be just a stub file that was only 200 MB. Went through the whole system update and reinstall rigmarole and had it working when I came back from running errands.

It was worth the minor delay.

My dog is transfixed by the rain effects and utterly confused by the Viper GTLM's exhaust note as he keeps tilting his head nearly every time I accelerated.

Since I am buying a Mercedes, I went with the standard edition. I'll see you cats Tuesday.

I've been running the lower powered stuff trying to get a handle for tuning on this game....its a wee bit different for FR/MR thus far. I've got fwd dialed in.

Have you played online? How's the 4WD stuff? Still nerfed?

Haven't played online or tried the 4wd stuff....they've made some quite nice improvements to the menus however(E36 M3 that needed done long ago) I am almost an exclusive 2wd player on Forza, ever since awd magically made everything fastest in FM3.

Personally, I hope awd magically making E36 M3 faster stays nerfed...... TBH, all the drive types were fairly close on FM5 and I expect that this time as well.

I just want a competitive Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

FM2 I was just a duffer. FM3 & 4 I got better, though I did best with fwd and MR. With the new engine for 5 and 6 I seem to be doing quite well. Though now I'm better rwd than MR.

Until FM5 and the lack of playing time with it, I've been a top 1%er since switching over from GT with FM2.

Well, multiplayer works well, just stacking 24 players on short courses is a recipe for disaster.

PROTIP: if you don't want the drivatars yelling "BANZAI" into the corners crashing you, go to the drivatar difficulty menu and select to limit their aggression.....

I've had a great time with it so far, but life keeps getting in the way of progress in the game.

It's better than it was, but it's still kinda funny to have a drivatar make an obvious swipe at you even with the aggression turned OFF.

Just curious, anyone have a dedicated gaming chair?

I can't afford a decent wheel and pedal setup, but I have found some decent CL deals the last few months. Sadly, none of them have worked out. So last week when I saw this X-rocker 4.1 for fifty bucks, I instantly fired off an email and setup a meet.

Only thing wrong with it was a broken speaker cover, but otherwise it looks unused.

This thing is AWESOME. Adds a little bit extra to the experience and is comfy to boot.

Don't know if I'll play any Forza Before the wife picks it up Tuesday for me. I may dive right in, so I'll be the guy at the back of the pack. Looking forward to it.
