Is there e30's in the game? I have a hankerin' for some German spankerin'.

I have noticed this a few times now.
Also the NOS affect when you are in a leading car's draft and we cross from 99MPH to 100MPH and all of a sudden it is like they missed a shift. I rammed a car because it was so dramatic.

and 5 days until they fix the cash exploit. Just kidding
I think I'm gonna tackle the Like the Wind races when I get home.
Would you pick the Audi R15 or the Pagani Huyara to boost to the moon and race? Any other suggestions are welcome.
Anything over 1000hp. I have about 16 cars to pick from. The ones just under can probably do it just fine. I know my 3000gt hits the 250 top speed on the stock trans and still wants to go more, so there's probably a good 20-30 street cars that can run it.
Pick something that turns(read: No Bugatti) and go to town.
I have not tried any of the super fast cars, but have you noticed anything with the "new" aerodynamics model? Does downforce actually cause drag? Is there any aero lift in cars? A stock bodied bug for example should be pretty hard to control over 100mph, aero lift should lift the front almost off the ground.
I was hoping they would add a reason for all those silly wings they have in the game.
I'm not sure if they have lift in the game. I haven't noticed any in the Miura at max speed, and I thought those were pretty lift-tacular. OTOH i've noticed a few cars totally lose stability at high speed.

I dunno. Some cars can't do more than a certain speed no matter how much you screw with the trans. The speed 12 runs out of breath at about 260, the Veyron refuses to turn at anything over 250, and the Mira will sit at 250, but god help you if you want to do anything.
I haven't really screwed with aero though, but it seems like the race cars are limited in what they can hit speed wise.
And the bug thing, I doubt they added lift, just because it would get them a lot of complaints if the old/light/crappy stuff went airborne just because you went over a certain speed.
I was thinking that also. There are already people complaining how "broken" some of the mid-engined cars are, like the Stratos! (which is one twitchy bitch)
If a bug took to the air at 120 I am sure they would freak.
I'd love to drive a Statos in real life to see if it really is that twitchy! I remember the Stig constantly spinning out in that Hawk replica, but i'm not sure how similar that was to the real thing.
I'm curious why GT games never get anything like tire width to play with. It seems like something that would add richness to the experience, you could use narrow ones for the "like the wind" races where top speed is needed, wider ones for the Nurburgring where you don't want to spin off and die, and you could try and balance under/oversteery cars with different widths, kindof like how the Stratos has ultra wide rear tires compared to the fronts. I wonder if they didn't take that into consideration in their tire model and that's why the thing is so slippery...
The Stratos is a difficult drive at first and it required me to go back to zero on techniques and figure the driving method out. After a test session I was loving the adjustable rear end using power on and brakes. Without mods. It seemed about what it should be being that light and powerful. Reminded me of the RGT series going on now in GT5. I am sure someone is faster than me in the thing but it went from frustrating to fun and that is just why I love real and Sim driving/racing!

... yes, the glitch still works! And your "ill gotten" cars are still there.
Also, they went back to PSN names in lobbies, which is nice.
The Mira HP glitch is gone!
I really want a course maker... hopefully the January update?
Kart series. I have not tried them, but the general opinion is the the racing is a pretty dull.
Also, I think controller users may be at a bit of a disadvantage in them.
Racing the AI is pretty dull, but I imagine GRM'ers would make it much more fun. I didn't htink about controller users, though.
Been playing with the kart in GT5, there is a controller disadvantage, but I would still like to try it. (No GT6 for me as of yet)
I will remit to the GT5 thread, but anyone want to try some Kart races at some point? Suggest small and tight car road courses, with short races. Gonna be draft city!
The Kart they give you (not one of the $ add-ons) will go about 100mph or so at Trial Mtn.. Tsubuka is fun as well as Autmn Ring

No GT6 for me. I'm not paying 60$ for an expansion pack.
In reply to mndsm:
c'mon, it's not an expansion pack. It adds at least as much content as 2 expansion packs.
Something I noticed. In gt6 most of the backgrounds are blurry thus the car being in focus makes them look even better when in fact I am wondering if they are really the same detail as GT5 just that GT5 had the backgrounds in focus making the detail of the car blend in with the background. Does that make sense?
Just curious, has anyone else had their game freeze on a loading screen after the 1.02 update?
I left it alone for about 15 minutes while I got ready for work, and it didn't sort itself out. Might just be an anomaly, though.
