The pedal shaped buttons are the brake and throttle. I haven't really tried any "left-foot" braking with it to be honest. The only MR/RR cars I've driven in-game so far are the 512BB (docile) and Stratos (twitchy as hell). They aren't spaced so far apart I can't press both down at once with my thumb, so I think with some practice I could do it.

FYI, version 1.03 patch is out now. Doesn't seem to be much other than the Toyota FT-1 concept car and the BMW M4's interior being added. You can win one of each in the seasonal events.

Can I be the first to suggest that GRM "crowdfund" someone to fly to Polyphony's HQ and repeatedly kidney punch whatever sadist designs the "Seasonal Challenges"? Today's, for example. Track - Ascari - extremely long course, not well know to anyone, tons of decreasing radius/blind/off camber corners. Car - hey, lets throw one of our notoriously unstable MR cars on there. I'm sure I have a ways to go with the tuning, but as it sits right now, the NSX is almost undriveable. It does a wonderful job of plowing into the corner, than jumping to snap oversteer as soon as you try to power out of the corner. Oh, and to top it all off, you get to run the challenge on all season tires. Really? It kind of reminds me of the more diabolical of the old license tests.

Ill have to try that one. I can pretty much guarantee I won't hate it as much as Laguna seca with the FT1. That car berkeleying sucks

Haha, it's not that bad! I braked early, cruised through the turns, then POWER upon exit.

The FT1 is a serious turd. I turned in just enough laps to get a Gold in it's seasonal event. I questioned why I was even doing the event during the last couple of laps. Of course, I went straight from an Elise to the FT1, and the Elise pretty much makes everything else feel like an understeering pig.

Oh, for the FT-1, I turned on the skid recovery force, as my patience ran out trying to get gold there.

I managed to do it without the SRF, but it was testing my patience pretty well after I turned in a lap that was .012 (or summat) seconds too slow. I certainly did have traction control on 2 or 3, though.

If it weren't for Elvis Costello and a cold beer I probably would have just said berkeley it and lit my house on fire.

I found a Google spreadsheet list of all the cars in the game. http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/complete-car-list-of-gt6-with-infos-as-a-google-spreadsheet.293970/

I copied it and will be adding another category for the body type (coupe, sedan, wagon, hatchback, roadster, etc..) of the cars since I haven't found one with that data. Should be helpful for sorting the list and coming up with groups of cars with certain characteristics.

That's odd I didn't see that seasonal event last night. hmmmm

Ascari is tough in any car. It helped me to watch a race replay to understand when I was going downhill versus uphill and where the crests are. There is even a bump right at the early apex entry point of one of the last corners. So I track a late apex to avoid it. Very tough track, approach it like the Nurburgring in terms of caution. There is also a kink that the computer brakes for on the back straight that you don't have to brake for. Especially in a MR car just lift a bit to rotate then settle the rear down with power through the corner. It worked when I ran the lambo through there. That gives you seconds.

I kinda like ascari. It reminds me of a technical autocross course.

In reply to Burrito Enthusiast/Hoop/Failboat:

Yeah the FT-1 is nothing to get excited about but then I realized it seemed to be like driving a miata with 1000HP. Lots of tentative right foot work before the car felt settled enough for full power. It handled ok to me. Trail braking to rotate into some turns and others just trying to keep it tidy so I can get back on the power. The kink required braking and a gear downshift.

Not a good way to present a car if it makes you feel like you have to compromise your fun to drive it fast. Toyota, please don't make that one.

Invest in the FRS. Develop a spec racing series. Support autocrossing and amatuer racers. Develop awesome effective performance parts. Imagine the 25 year old FRS still racing, still buying parts, just like the 25 year old miatas today.

Yup. And just like autocross, I find I have more fun flogging a slower car around the course

Anybody else having an absolutely horrendous time with GT6 hanging on startup? I've been trying to log in every day to maintain my bonus.

I get to the Epilepsy Warning screen and then it just sits there and spins... spins... spins... If I try to quit the game, it crashes the PS3. Then I have to wait for it to rebuild the data files as it reboots. It also often throws me off the PSN even though I successfully logged in before launching GT6. I've been pretty loyal to Sony and PD but this E36 M3 is getting old very fast.

At least in stock form it does not seem to trail brake too much for me. I'll need to try a more extreme brake bias..

IMO it just feels like I have to slow down for turns way more than I should need to in this car, if I am entering a corner too hot it just plows like a motherberkeleyer. And by too hot, I mean too hot for this car, but otherwise a reasonable entry speed for most other cars with sporting characteristics.

Did they design this car to only be capable of driving onto rotating turntables at car shows?

I am double hotlinking this guys thread. Try his NSX tune for the seasonal event. Ill be giving it a shot later.

I put in a few lap times on the higher paying seasonal ones (also the NSX one). your turn

More speed left in all 3, especially the NSX one. I used the really old car since it was the only one I owned already, but didn't quite upgrade/adjust everything, plus I don't know the track.
