I have to wait for mine to be delivered. Pure hell. Odd request, can someone do some screen captures of the wheel selection? I haven't seen anything on that, and am really hoping for a better selection than GT5.

Yep, and I like that you can buy them while racing online as well.

Finally got gold on the stupid x1 Goodwood.

The pay is crap, the prize is crap. BOOO

E: Just noticed, you don't lose paint chips anymore. Once you get that color you keep that color.

The wheel selection varies by car (e.g. the Europa only has about 15 or so to choose from). Some of the modern cars have a much larger selection, something like 75+). Taking a pic would be hard because you can only see about 10 at a time, so you would need to scroll.

Also of note is all the customization the talked about is highly dependent on the car. Some just have wings as in GT5.

I have intentions of driving Barbers Motorsports, Road Atlanta, Talladega Gran Prix... those are "roads".

There are a few roads around here as well.

supposedly they will add more in future updates/DLC and I hope they do, cars too.

Drifting is WAY harder now. I remember in Prologue I was freaking formula D champion material, GT5 I wasn't near as good, and in this I'm about Idiot-in-walmart-parking-lot as far as drift skills.

Does anyone live near pikes peak and can do the GPS thing?

So is the GPS thing real? Does it work good?

If it is real it hasn't been released yet, just discussed. I'm sure there's lots to be added in future updates, just like in GT5

I didn't realize the new one was out yet. I got a wheel last Christmas, but haven't had time to try it out yet. Right now my PS3 is hooked up to my bedroom TV to stream TV shows and movies. Haven't played a game on it since maybe last February or so.

Maybe I'll get the new game to get me back on the wagon.

The suspension deflection and improved physics make the game way more fun. I was bored with gt5 in a few hours. This had me hooked all day yesterday. Good example if you try and clip a rough or high apex curb e.g. the London street circuit in a rear drive car, the front of the suspension isn't just where you feel it, it will upset traction at the rear when you land. Negatives for me are the knock over cone challenges. The are just not fun. Knock over 300 cones in a minute or in space? Cool...sarcasm

By the way my PSN is EP3CivicSi03. Happy racing

I thought the cone ones and the moon one were fun as a novelty, but they get old with repetition. After doing the moon missions once I haven't felt the desire to go back.

i googled it and found a bunch of GT4 images. I guess it was only in the korean version of GT4. what are the specs? possibly similar to a current b-spec car?

One thing I think would help the car numbers a bit, why don't they have multiple versions of the premium cars? For example, they have tens of NA miatas with near identical specs, why not model something like a 1970 mustang fastback, and then have a Boss 302, Boss 429, Mach 1, GT, and so on. There are differences in visual details to be sure, but the engine specs, transmission ratios, and weight are all things that don't need to be modeled at months of man hours for each car. I would also assume they don't each have a totally unique suspension, maybe differences in spring rate, roll bars, the kind of thing you can change on any of the cars in the game. They already have the body done for the Genesis coupe 3.8, why not the visually similar 2.0t? Again, some differences, but visually minor when it comes to modeling. They could buff the numbers (something they already do) while offering useful car variety to their premium lineup.

They even have a 1965 Mustang fastback half done (shelby GT350) to premium levels. The shelby does have significantly different bodywork, so maybe that's not the best example, but you get my point.

I like the karts but agree the X1 isn't fun at all. My brain doesn't work fast enough to drive that thing at goodwood. I would blast into turns and end up flying off the track at mid turn to the inside of the corner...

Getting gold with a controller in the X1 is, to-date, my crowning achievement.

I remember driving the X1 on GT5 with a controller was impossible for me. I couldn't stand not being able to control how quickly the steering wheel turns which is VERY important for the X1 in my opinion.

Also I checked and the GT350 -to-other-1965 mustangs as far as modeling would require a different interior. The gauges look nothing like my dad's '65 GT.
