So what do I have to do to join? Just send you a discord message (I'm already on the discord)? Is there a skill floor required? (I guarantee I'm far below it).

Yes. Darwin is the best choice to send a message to since he is the best at dealing with Discord (see second post in this thread). A few of use can bring people in, but I am not sure we remember how (I am pretty sure Darwin showed us?....)
Regarding skill.... yes we are a very varied bunch in that regards, so don't worry about that at all. We are also very willing to give tips and coaching. Best tip if you are really slow is to be aware of any lapping traffic and drive predictably (pulling over quickly can be troublesome if you do it too late). Communicating is also a very good tactic (e.g. "staying left on the straight")

For some driving thrillin' this series could use some more drillin'!
In reply to aircooled :
Thank you! I'm worried because I've not yet done a sim race with real traffic (only NPCs/ai) but I think I can figure it out. I'm excited!
In reply to Evanuel9 :
Sorry you could not get in. The server is up 24/7 so you can keep trying to get in when ever you want. Look forward to you joining us.
In reply to dean1484 :
Yeah, I would try reloading all the cars and the track and restarting everything. It really needs to be either the track or the cars.
Testing tonight and I am 99.9 percent sure I will be going to the Vantage. I have already changed my car assignment in the server so I guess that makes it a done deal. If anyone is thinking of changing I need to know sooner rather than later so I can make sure to get you what you want set up on the server.
Highlights. I had no idea I hit the "zooming" car shown. Clearly a glitch for the zoom and the boom.
Not sure what was going on with the R2 finish. The leader board said Colin (by .2 seconds), but the replay clearly shows Gameboy. I guess the finish line is a lot farther back then shown?
GameboyRMH said:I thought the finish line was the checkered line about 20ft after the DRS zone start sign?
I think that is the answer. You can even see the stand in the background of the picture above. The line I used is just the end of the grid.
I guess the other question is then: Why does this course have the start line behind the grid? You can see the officiating tower back there also. Maybe this track used to run in the other direction?
In reply to aircooled :
Unless I'm mistaken I think Suzuka has the start/finish line behind the grid in the current configuration, so maybe that's just how that track is laid out. The way the lines are painted there is confusing though.
I had a great time last week. Thank you to everyone that was there and here is hoping some of the MIA will get a chance to join us as there schedules allow.
This week is going to be fun. This is a tight track to give and take will be a must to survive. T1 is going to be a test of everyone's race craft this week.
I'm pretty sure any F1 circuit has the finish line at the back of the grid, I could totally be wrong about that but I'm pretty confident that's the case.
I am not racing tonight. I had a runny nose and inadvertently took some night time cold medicine. Im falling asleep. Have fun racing!
Results and Standings: We currently have a tie for first. Sauce get it for now because he has a higher finish in the most recent race. Seems like a lot of us had issues being consistent at this track!
I was hot garbage last week. No clue why. I actually practiced some for it but the front runners were just at another level. I also had at least two off's so that did not help.
Damn, I really need to get in on this. I miss the Forza but mainly GT5/GT6 leagues with some of you guys! Now that I got the setup. I miss you guys haha
Definitely remember the old F40 magic. We were just looking at some of the old GT races the other day. Pretty sure you were in on the Small Bore Cup(?). Just show up, you will be fine. We can help you get setup. There is no Spool... but there is Colin and Sauce (the two Audi's below)....
So here is some of the current action. The first race was actually pretty tame, it's the second race that got a bit crazy. I think Gameboy needs a Purple Heart or something...
