I messed around with 333SP Silverstone setup today a bit. Getting it close, but not perfect.
I am in on the 908 (we need the group to test this car) or the 333. If speedy is joining the party we should keep it on the calmer side of things (why I am putting the 908 out there). It is a calmer version of the 333.
I do love me some 333
oh. And the M1. This could also be a very good option. Again a bit calmer than the 333 and not a complete psyco case like the GTO cars or the vintage A cars.
The more I drive the 333SP, the worse I am with it. AI's at Silverstone are fast in it, but I'm not. Either would be a good challenge for a series or frustrating. AI cars seem to have twice as much grip in the fast corners.
I'll be honest, the F1 game has my attention right now. So someone needs to make a call on the car. I'll fill in the tracks based on what the car chosen.
In the meantime I will be learning the Hanoi track.
Brad why don't we do more testing and we can do the mock short sessions that I have set up. 20 min practice, 5 min qual (basically 1 maybe 2 laps depending on the track) and then a 5 lap race. This way we could get three maybe four sessions in in a bunch of cars. We can do this to let speedy get up to speed. Ok that made me laugh. Speed. .. . Speedy.. Ya I am easily amused. LOL
I can host if you want. People toss out ideas for testing and we can do these short sessions and get a fell for cars.

We are usually on Wednesdays from about 8:30-9:00 eastern. Pm Brad or me your ps ID. We can send an invite.

My PSN id is M10PSI. I'm on at random times.
Brad and Dean's PSNs are the same as their user names here,
The Lotus 25 (my new fav), formula renault and that caterham at Imola were all pretty fun. I also wouldn't be opposed to doing the 333SP again. Let me know what ends up being planned, I should be able to join this Wednesday.
Does anyone with a fanatec CSL elite wheel/pedal combo have some recommended settings? I've tried messing with the feedback settings but nothing I did helped it feel more intuitive. I found this from the fanatec forum, and it's what I'll try next. Is this what works best for most situations?

For game settings I use:
Flavour: Raw
Gain: 100
Volume: 50
Tone: 69
FX: 50
I'll have to look at the wheel settings, but I haven't ever messed around with them much.
In reply to T.J. :
Ok, I'll try those out and see how it goes. I haven't gotten around to messing with anything other than the force feedback settings yet.
Im out tonight and next week. I expect when I get back that you all will have decided on the next series.
If not, we'll run trophy truck Enduro races with track limits off an just see what happens.

Here is what I'm using for wheel settings:
SEN 550
FF 100
SHO 100
ABS 90
DRI -05
FOR 100
SPR 100*
DPR 100*
BRF 40
FEI 50
Like I said I've not put much time or effort into these to know if these are good or not.
Testing tonight??? People should start thinking of potential cars to play with. (Unless Brad as other plans for us)
Yeah, I can open up a room. What do we want? I can put in the Porsches group and the Lotus 25. Anything else?
Another consideration for a theme I was thinking: Instead of finding a car, maybe we can look at picking tracks we have not used, and find a car that is good for that. E.g. we have effectively not used the "street" tracks or the vintage tracks.
