GT6 Time Trial Series - Event 2

Tried again today and I can't even come close to that time again. I don't know what i'm doing differently... Watched the replay and it seems i'm going through 2nd gear corners in 3rd, that's probably what allowed me to be heavier on the throttle, but I can't make it stick as well today... I must have been in a zone or something. I didn't even turn the system off last night, just paused it so same settings and everything... Now it just keeps plowing past apexes and if I use 2nd it kicks the back end out just enough to lose all of my speed. Whatever I did last night kicked it out just enough to go fast... what the berk? Did I have a mini stroke last night and lose the ability to operate a steering wheel?

and now my ps3 is glitching on me. Ever roll the bmw? I just did twice. oh, and jumping side to side a couple feet at a time... for all I know it was acting screwed up last night, too. I retract my time, possible physics glitching could've helped. gonna turn it off and on again.

No way I can cut 3 seconds off my time. A few thenths, sure, but that's incredible! Great lap!

I can't do it again, I suspect something was fishy with the physics? I often leave the system on for days on end, everyone kept telling me it would screw something up. Looks like it did, i'm getting a black screen now trying to start gt6

My PS3 seems to play other games ok, so i deleted the GT6 game data and i'm re-installing. Hooray for me, there are FIFTEEN updates I need now... i hope my save data is still there...

Those updates could be part of the crazy time difference. The dicked with the physics several times with the updates.

Ah that makes sense. It's now on the 'installing' screen and says 220 minutes left. It sounds like a lot, but a minute ago it said 1010 minutes left

Update- it eventually shot up to 390 minutes left, then dropped to 7, and is holding at 7 minutes left for the past couple minutes.

I'm starting to believe the install timer is broken...

Results updated. I am holding off on Rufledt's time for the moment pending physics updates, though I am tempted to count it just to spite Spool

I'll try to get a time by the end of the week, but I may not make it in time for the deadline. The thing finally updated and started last night but we have relatives coming to surprise SWMBO today, which means to keep it quiet i've been doing all of the preparing behind her back. Should be fun, they get here in like a half hour.

And for the record I know she reads this forum from time to time, but i'm counting on her not doing it in the next half hour. Also she focuses heavily on the hotlink and gif threads, so this should be safe.

The event is open for 2 weeks so you still have 7 days to put in a time. Plenty of time to knock Spool off his present seat

Did this last thursday, haven't turned on the PS3 since then. when did the update come out?

It may not have been a recent update, I hadn't played GT6 since probably summer or so

any updates?

I haven't run any laps since I did the testing 2 weeks ago, been travelling and generally busy. I'll try to get a couple laps in tonight on principle, but don't think I've run anything faster than a 21.
