Usually you can. Start with weirder places- Toys R Us and the like. Work your way up to Gamestop.

I never had any problem with walking in the first day at a place like Walmart. Of course I have a GameStop/Walmart/BestBuy/Target all within a block from each other so I can just keep going to the next store if one of them is out.

I got all of the sequels of Halo with no pre-orders and on the first day. Never waited in lines or nothing, other than at the register.

Yep, I plan on stopped at the Gamestop on the way home from work today. If not, go down a few doors to Best Buy.

If not, I'll wait. I refuse to send any money to Wal-Mart.

argh. mine is sitting on my doorstep. too much want! (stuck at work for a few more hours)

Mine hasn't come yet, UPS guy is an hour and a half later than normal. Maybe he's just busy delivering other copies of GTA V? To add to the problem, they're replacing sidewalks outside, so I can't just listen for a diesel engine.

Wife has been in line for 30 min. I <3 her.

Target here has them GTA V on the display. Why do people wait overnights again?

go figure some E36 M3 gets dumped on me at work mid afternoon. I was planning on leaving over an hour ago.

Best wife evar drove an hour round-trip to pick mine up today. Hours of delicious ultra-violence await. Just...a couple...moar....hours. FECK!

My roommate has the game but has a date tonight so it's mine for tonight. Lol. At least I will get the install and a game saved on my XBox tonight.

Just started. Holy crap. I have an older Xbox with the external HD and I had to erase 90% of it just to install the game. Definitely do the thumb drive trick. Its pretty fun so far, but at 30 years old I feel like I still might be too young for this game.

Not surprisingly, he didn't blink an eye when mentioning the scores of cops you gun down, or the explicit language, but the mention of in-game boobs got a shocked reaction out of him.

E36 M3. There goes my productivity for a while...have to put the pipe down for a minute. Gotta say, I'm kinda glad I pre-ordered and got the blimp....been a great way to sightsee so far.

Yep, I keep it on that station.

Other things I noticed while exploring. People will hop in another car and chase you down if you car jack them. Even the car you just hopped out of. Also, people will try to out run you on the highway if you chase them.

The military airfield is near the ocean and they have C130s. Oh berkeley yeah, C130s. I crashed it while taxiing. lol

My roommate just asked for the disc back. It will be a few days before I get to play again.

The first big surprise I got was when I tractor-jacked some guy and he pulled a gun and shot me.

I didn't make it into the C130...didn't even make it out of the car on the taxiway.
