Replacing my driving force GT that I bought new about 2007 ish with its 2nm force feedback was difficult but I think this setup will get me through for a bit. After talking to my guys and doing extensive internet research I landed on the Sim Magic ecosystem. Starting with the alpha mini, gt-1 wheel and P500 2 pedal set not only is it a massive improvement i also have room to upgrade in the future if needed and stay in the family . Hello Kitty cup for cool factor
Heck yeah, the Alpha mini is great!

Once I learned how to get the wheel to stay connected in the software it worked flawlessly.
Two things I learned today:
- Gunner should improving his finishing positions, he has no excuse now.
- Gunner is definitely getting the Hello Kitty theme for his next custom livery.

Was thinking the same thing. 😁
While seemingly making some improvements here, It has always seemed our group has been improving.
My pedal set felt good last race but in the long run the end was in site with that set. Even with the super foam brake hack.
Got a new pedal set in and working now. (Simsonn pedals)
@gunner Godspeed getting accustomed to the new setup.

Honestly, I'm just glad I'm stepping out of 2007 with my final peripheral. Although my flight stick is from about 2009 I see no reason to replace that since I never fly anymore.
A side note, I got the GT-1 wheel because it was round and the cheapest option. but if I knew what I was doing I would have spent more to have more buttons on a different wheel. My logitech has more wheel buttons than the GT-1.
When I upgraded my wheel and peddles it took a while for me to understand what it was telling me and for me to use all the new information. It was a little frustrating at first as I actually was driving worse until I figured it out. But once I got it it is definitely an improvement. I would like to think I am driving a little better. It also I think has helped me be more consistent.

It's amazing how far this has all come from a wheel clamped to a folding TV tray and a kitchen chair.... Of course, GT2 was a LONG time ago! LOL
Good luck with the new setup Gunner!

Im definitely running into the same thing. I plan on being on tonight so I can get some more time with it.

I have an armoire style computer desk and the mini is heavy, it shakes my desk so much my wife can hear it in the back of the house. I was able to fix the issue with my chair rolling back by hooking one of the roller feet over the rear bar of the pedal mount. Makes the pedals slightly too close but it fixes the rolling issue entirely.

Which Simsonn set did you get. They all look pretty high end for the price.
In reply to gunner (Forum Supporter) :
SIMSONN Sim Racing Pedals. They are sold as a set or as componants, price varies and oddly shows as a color option e.g.,
Color: P3-2 Hydraulic Rods = 3 pedals 2 Hydraulic Rods. All have a load cell. Shipping and packaging were good. Instruction almost DIY. (not good but was figured out in minutes). Software works but third party software works better. That could explain the price. The set is working good. Shipping and packaging were good. Instruction almost DIY. Ok, I see. Amazon makes it easier to understand the price difference. the simsonn website was pretty busy and made it hard to tell the difference in the sets.
