This Wednesday we will host the first ever GRMBall 3000ish. A race in the spirit of the Canonball with the quality driving of the Gumball. And no, not 3000 miles or kilometers. Don’t be silly, we ain’t got time for that. 3000ish seconds.
This will be a series of races run back to back. There will be no practice. There will be no qualifying. The winner will be the driver with the lowest combined time across all stages.
Drivers can select any car in the Road Car classes.
Oh no.... here comes that orange Lambo....
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh This could be fun

So no car limits?
Any car in the Road Car classes.
I'll give a 30 second bonus to anyone willing to run the truck.
You don't need a bonus if you run the truck. If you run the truck, the road is just a suggestion...
There are some pretty cool slower cars. I am just glad the z/28 Camaro is not a street car (it's listed as such on the PC2 site) because I might have a hard time not running that. I did do a quick lookup on the street cars, and the 911 RSR is said to be "too slidey"... I am definitely checking that thing out!
I have not driven the road courses at all, but I think they are rather twisty. The Ring has some twist but is clearly a speed track, so there might be a bit of tradeoff on what car you pick.
My plan you ask? Well, get something that launches well (4wd), is super wide, and get in front! Heck, maybe I will even paint it orange...
Since there is no practice, I’ll open the official room at 8:30

Sounds like fun. Wish I was able to make it.
I am at my office dropping stuff off for the staff tomorrow as I just got a call that my Dad was moved to ICU and is in a really bad way at the moment. We were told NOT to visit by the ICU doctor and stay tuned for more info tomorrow in the am. I am taking that as bad news. . .
:-(

Terribly sorry to hear. I wish you and the family the best.
I may still join in I don't know I think I need a distraction at the moment or I need a shot of 18Y Single Malt. . . . Or both. . .. :-)

It was actually pretty entertaining, and I didn't even mind the public room or British Dean.
I only tested the 911 and the 918. The 911 was fun but did seem a bit low on power in comparison. The 918 was no fun to drive until I turned the ABS off and knocked the TC way down. I did not realize what an advantage the electric motor was, which helped a lot with the starts. Of course, loosing 300 hp when it ran out sucked, so it was a perfect car for the road sprints, not as good for the Ring laps.
Sauce made a brave choice with the Mclaren, but an open diff on a 700 hp car made for some issues.
