Recommend PS5 games, please

I'm a gamer, but I never got the racing game bug; it was just always separate hobbies for me. I just impulse bought a Logitech setup and stand for my PS5 and am setting it up now.

I haven't played anything since Grand Turismo (the first one) and my wife and 8 year old also want to play. Prob not going to be joining in anything serious since I am terribly new.

So far I've downloaded:

Grand Turismo 7

Asset to Corsa 

Dirt 2

Trackmania

A few Karting kids things

You have some very good games but you should also have F1 2021 and WRC 10.

I'll definitely go for WRC and shamelessly relive my not so glorious days.

I admit I am one of those F1 people that only go watch for the parties, but will put that on the list of quality options for when i want something completely different.

I so wish that assetto corsa was cross-platform.

A few days of playing and I agree. Initially it is a bit overwhelmingly detailed but I am appreciative of it in trying to be sort of realistic. I'll admit I lm thinking of a adding another gaming PC just for my use only...

Glad to see these recommendations after checking back here. I don't have a huge gaming library or anything but am always down to try something new.

The real treasure in this list is that I didn't realize that there was Katamari still out there to enjoy! My wife and I loved these games back in the day, even though nobody had any idea what we were on about. The theme music still creeps into our brains at random times.

My daughter is deep into hogwarts and she can keep that well crafted and engaging child's fantasy... I am ready to roll

That's the best part. Reroll 2 JUST came out at the beginning of the month. It's a rehash of the 2nd PS2 game that many will argue was the best katamari game. (I'll argue it was os3s katamari forever, but that doesn't really count since it was sort of a "best of the levels" redux of its own). Reroll 1 is the first ps2 game. There's been kind of a lot of buzz around it and people are hoping it generates a new game. God knows I've worn out controllers to those games.

I've been really enjoying The Forest. 

Another one that DEFINITELY isn't family friendly- The Last of Us 1+2. The visuals are fantastic, the gameplay is excellent, and the story is well developed. I don't normally do survival horror/stealth (I am very much a go in loud/leroy jenkins) but these games were a ton of fun. Be warned though, mature themes throughout, LOTS of graphic violence, swears, etc. It ain't for the kids. 

I'm still reading and appreciate the info. My gaming time is sporadic and I often get stuck on major time killers (I'm looking at you rimworld, skyrim, fallout, etc.) But i don't shop around for titles as much as I should.

The new wheel and pedals are fun! Shifter was doa, but am making due with the paddles like in my car for now. AC is cool and I like the depth, but still doesn't "FEEL" like actually driving... GT7 is a bit slow and corny but has moments of brilliance and the customization is a big hit with my daughter. 

Anything to stop me from going back to Rust, right?

It wouldn't make much difference for us - console versions are stuck with "stock" assetto corsa which none of us have touched in forever
