I have a dilemma... I recently had my B-day (Turned 15) and I got $250. I was wondering, should I blow all that money right now and buy a Fanatec Steering wheel or put my money plus my money I already have towards my first car in about a 1 1/2 years?

If you don't have any other way to get a car I suggest saving for one.

Having said that I want a Fanatec wheel also.

Buy a real car. A gaming wheel is nice but you can't pick up chicks in gran turismo.

Save the $$$ for the car. But make sure that you enough money coming in to pay for the maintenance, gas, oil, tires, etc. If you live in a city with great metro transit, DC, NY, etc then just get the Fantec.

Save it until you get another 250 and then buy a car.

In reply to Grizz: I heart 500$ beaters. They're almost better than real cars.

I paid 400 for the current truck, and 500 for the last. Totally better than real cars.

Fanatecs have a pretty good resale value; you could buy the fanatec now, have some fun, and then sell it later to help pay for a real car.

I did that with my R/C car back in the day.
