There can only be Dark Souls.
I am getting back into the swing of things for Dark Souls 2.
Do not attempt unless you have a serious masochistic streak, can accept that everything wrong that happens is directly your fault and can deal with failure....
I've been playing the heck out of rocksmith. Got it at Xmas time and learned more in 2weeks about playing guitar then the last 5 years. Been playing f1 2013, but got hit by the update glitch in the game and have to start over. Tried refactor 2, but it didn't take input from my game pad very well and deleted it. I may re load rfactor on my PC and try again. I never was able to race online before with that one. Dont have a console system...

Any good recent strategy games out there??
I'm also interested in this. I used to play Civ 5 and SimCity quite a bit, but that's been a few years ago.
Real-time or turn-based, any other suggestions? Is the new SimCity as terrible as the reviews I've read, or for a casual gamer would it likely still be enjoyable?

I liked the new Simcity, once they fixed all the stuff that was broken. It's a LOT harder than it looks.... I failed god knows how many cities before I had a successful one. Gets even trickier when you have multiple cities in the same region, traffic will KILL you if you're not careful.

Assetto Corsa, Race Rooms - DTM Experience, Game Stock Car 2013, Formula Truck. All new releases for the PC. All of them are top notch driving sims. DTM and Game Stock car have some of the most amazing FFB and physics.
Assetto Corsa is amazing... It's on Steam as early access. The game is not complete, but it's available now. Highly recommended if you are looking for a fresh racing sim.

Hmmm, I may actually check it out then.
I've been playing a lot of War Thunder lately. Probably the most fun i've had with flying games since Aces of the Pacific. Totally playable with a keyboard + mouse too.

Look up the RSRBR mod for Richard Burns Rally. Kinda unwieldy to install and run, but adds a ton of cars, and some extra stages.

While not as good as RBR, Dirt and Showdown are on the Humble Bundle this week. You have to pay $6 to unlock them, but you can donate it all to charity.
