Anyone have any Norton experience? I have someone interested in trading me for my cafe racer. I am looking for a project, his is a little more finished then I would like. I can't seem to find too much info on this model, is it the same motor as a similar year commando?

Will I need to buy a bunch of weird new tools? (Withworth sockets and wrenches)

Any known weaknesses? It has been cafe'd - drag bars and low pipes. I donk know what way to go with it. Tracker/offroad or modern cafe (better suspension and brakes).

1964-1969 Norton Scramblers were unique and different. AFAIK 1970-up is just a Commando with minor changes.

Standard tools were fine for a Commando. I had to weld a socket to an angled flat bar to get the one nut behind and between the jugs on my 850 Commando to remove them, so you may see the same issue, but otherwise just go for it.

The biggest vehicular mistake I ever made was selling my '74 Norton Commando Roadster.
