I am going to look at one after work. It was put in storage 14 years ago and "ran when parked". I am 99.9% cetain that I am buying it as the price is very good. Does anyone here have experience with them? Pictures tomorrow.

The Woof on a 78 YZ 125, circa 1978
They're typical a Japanese motocross bike from the 70's. Not bad, but not as well built as the European, and Canadian built bikes. They are pretty light and good handling.
Awsume bike.
They have a few weak points.
1) Monoshock tends to leak. There are places to send it for modern parts rebuilds
2) The CDI boxes have some E36 M3y capasitors inside that do not age well. But again there are work arounds for that too. Some cheap and some not so, all dependant on what you plan to do with your 70"s rocketship. :)
I hope to rebuild the carb, put fresh tires on it, change the plug, change the fluids and go ride the trails of northern Michigan.
It's a two smoke, right? In that case I'd expect that the crank seals will have dried out/are shot and need replacing. Rather that than running a stroker lean, 'cos they don't do that for very long.
