They're pretty good starter bikes, as are SV650s.

OK how about under 21 you have to have the restriction or take a test to prove that you can have a unrestricted bike. After that if you go splat its your hide.

So I have found all sorts of cool stuff while I was looking around. A few people just use adjustable throttle screw stops so you keep the RPM's down until you are happy. Its just a twist of a screwdriver to increase them. No retuning, no real downside that I can see. I still get all the brakes and tire just not as much top end power.

Otherwise its restrictions in the CARB. But on a side note I may have a solution to the problem.

First off I did a quick stint on a buddies CBR600RR (Already dropped and pretty beat up), I really like the ergonomics while at a stop, the actual ride though is different. The two fused pieces in my back do not like it at all. I can only imagine the pain of something even more extreme. This was weird I ride a road bike (Pedal) all the time and yeah I get stiff in the back but nothing like this. So the problem might have worked itself out. I still want a street bike but I might have to go with something a little tamer then I might have wanted anyway.

So I search again. The best kind of middle of the road bike that I have seen locally for sale is the g650 motox. 50ish HP, lots of suspension, ABS. Going to ride it when I get back into town this weekend.
