So I'm all set to find a Triumph Tiger 955i to replace my KLR. A couple things nag me about the Triumph but nothing I don't feel I can't fix or alter. There just aren't many bikes that fit my list of wants in my feeble, GRM price bracket. Then I came across one of these online:
Kind of a cross between the Triumph and the Wee Strom. Affordable used. There's even a dealer within 45 minutes of where I live. Rotax engine supposedly bulletproof. Anyone know anything about these?
Aprilia's, the one's I'm familiar with, are bulletproof. They just don't break. That said I've known quite a few to be down due to parts shortages. I'd check the availability of engine seals and other brand specific parts before buying. These shortages were years ago so maybe the Italians have it figured out by now.
That said, I know guys who ride hard with 40k+ miles on mille's and falco's.
