The Duc dealer in my area had one, it sat in the 'showroom' (you'd need to see it) until the place went out of business.

I bet I sat on a blue one at the shop I grew up at and then worked at. Jim's Motorcycle Sales. I worked there long after Jim sold it to his middle son Ken. I never got to meet Jim Jr. Check old back issues of American Motorcyclist you will see his family mentioned many times.

Ken Hayes - A flat track champ from the 60's

Funny story about them. Jim or the Chief as we all called him and Ken (known as the Fossil) were doing some work at their house in Carter county. Jim backed their big flat bed off of the hill on a blind curve. A guy speeding way over the limit came around and choose to go through the field instead of hit the truck. He backed out of the field cussing. Jim rolled down the window and calmly stated "If you wanna race, Daytona is about 500 miles south of here" He then proceed to roll up the window and drive off.

Priceless.

I am fortunate for alot of things in my life. My father introducing me to the Hayes family is one of them. Them putting up with a kid growing up and letting him be around them and live through history just being a kid is another.

You'd lose. Seen those when I was a kid. Along with Bultaco, Maico, Jawa, CZ, Sachs, Penton and Hodaka. Grew up liking desert racing and trials riding. Had a Maico 250 Diablo for a while. First bike was a 1956 Mustang motor scooter in 1973. Centrifigal clutch, single speed. Looked kinda like this.

Sachs had and interesting lever front suspension.
